Serve in Lager glass

I’m guessing this is what I had at this small bar in Schweinfurt. The menu said Lowenbrau vom Fass. Nice look, light in color. Flavor is a tad of strength. Pils like, but not quite right in flavor (probably because it was a helles). Really quite tasty and better than what they import to America (maybe because it was on tap?).

(bottle, sampled 3/21/10). Clear gold color. Medium white head. Moderate skunky aroma, with light malt. Watered down/diluted flavor with very light malt and bitterness. Avg duration. Smooth finish, with light dryness. Thin texture. Moderate to high carbonation. Fair lacing.

I can’t believe I forgot to rate this. This is one of my favourite beers. I usually try to have one in the fridge at all times. Very easy to drink and has plenty of flavour.

Greek holiday 2010, draught. This was pretty boring. Pours very very pale. Instanly forgettable.

Golden yellow looks with white foam head. Some malty and dough aromas. Slight sweet taste balanced with some bitterness. Light body. Clean finish, short after taste. Good one.

Can. Pale yellow with a white head. Weak aroma, taste has some mild grains and cardboardiness. Not bad for a macro.

500 ml can. Pours a clear yellow gold with small white cap. Fairly light aroma with sweet grains and grass. Taste is sweet grainy malt and some grassy bitterness. An unremarkable Euro lager. Yawn.

For some reason this is everywhere in Hungary. The near-robins egg blue and gold make me feel as though i am drinking some 70’s rehash of a bad Wisconsin lager. But it’s not too bad. pretty run of the mill. Had it in bottle, can, and tap. All tasted about the same.
