2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Quite pale, with a big fluffy white head that slipped away to almost nothing. Crisp and fresh bready aroma with a fairly bland thin mouthfell and finish. Not bad, but not very interesting.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Very small and thin head. Sweetness in aroma. Flavor is light, sweet and slightly malty with a little bit of hops at the end. Overall, a predictable beer that is not too great.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A yellow beer with a fine white collapsing head. The aroma is very grassy and sweet and hoppy. The flavor is dry hoppy on a good malty background.

Revisited ... all I will say is so-so ... I remember back in the day when we bought several cases of this stuff becuase we thought it was true and unbelievably amazing German beer. Let’s just say, since then, I have discovered that this beer is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to German offerings. But compared to some American brews, it’s still pretty good.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Reminds me of my college days many moons ago. Tonight, Tonight, Let it be Blownchau! Straw color with a moderate white head and a touch of lace. Light aromas of cookies, pale malt, flowers and herbs. Thin malt flavors surrounded by dry grassy and herbal hops. Mild iron flavors later in the finish into the linger. A cross between an export, a pils and a helles, and missing all three.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale golden colour, white head. Pale malt, with some grassy, slightly skunky aroma. Flavour is similar but with a light bready yeastiness. Straightforward, but not bad.

Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. This was ok. Had a little malt flavor to it but that was it. Tasted like a German beer.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2006 NOthing special from this beer, except it tastes a little sawer. The can is a little bit smaller than other cans.

I couldn’t detct any aroma on this beer. It was a very clear light golden yellow colour and hade a small ead with okay lacing. It was smooth, a little thicker on the palate. The balance was okay, but it resulted in a slightly bitter ending. The finsih was quick as well.
