Revisited ... all I will say is so-so ... I remember back in the day when we bought several cases of this stuff becuase we thought it was true and unbelievably amazing German beer. Let’s just say, since then, I have discovered that this beer is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to German offerings. But compared to some American brews, it’s still pretty good.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Reminds me of my college days many moons ago. Tonight, Tonight, Let it be Blownchau! Straw color with a moderate white head and a touch of lace. Light aromas of cookies, pale malt, flowers and herbs. Thin malt flavors surrounded by dry grassy and herbal hops. Mild iron flavors later in the finish into the linger. A cross between an export, a pils and a helles, and missing all three.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale golden colour, white head. Pale malt, with some grassy, slightly skunky aroma. Flavour is similar but with a light bready yeastiness. Straightforward, but not bad.

Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. This was ok. Had a little malt flavor to it but that was it. Tasted like a German beer.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I couldn’t detct any aroma on this beer. It was a very clear light golden yellow colour and hade a small ead with okay lacing. It was smooth, a little thicker on the palate. The balance was okay, but it resulted in a slightly bitter ending. The finsih was quick as well.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Burnt Beer Night: Golden piss. I thought I had tasted some really skunked beers until I had concentrated skunk jizz in a bottle labeled Lowenbrau Original. Sweet Mercy... I refused to finish even one sip.

Burnt Beer Night: Light Gold Coloring. This is Horrible Stuff. I’d Like to Say it Goes Down Easily Except I Refused to Let it Go Down. Some Hops on the Nose...Very Watery and Stale in Flavor.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
I buy this every year around Halloween. Reminds me of my youth. I always forget how bland it is. Poured a typical American (I know its not a US beer) macro color with no head at all. Armoma is almost not there and smeels kind of dirty. Beer is crisp and smooth with a slight coppery taste. This might be good for pounding at the lake but I somehow seem to forget about it until October.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled at Charlotte Oktoberfest ’04. I found this to be extremely watery and plain. A decent thirst-quencher, I guess.
