Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grassy aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light bitter flavor with a light grassy sweet finish of short duration. My expectations of an average beer was met.

Bottle: Clear, golden coloured, lacing white head; sweet (pale-)malty nose; sweet(ish) flavour, traces of citrus; short, more sweet than bitter finish. O.K., nothing special..............

chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2004
Pale gold colour. Dull corny aroma - the malt is very cereal accented. Clean, but uninteresting palate. Not much flavour, or hop character. Dry finish with tinny taint. Not too impressive. 660ml bottle (pasteurised), from Tesco, BBE 30 April 2005.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 11, 2011
Pale golden colour, white head. Pale malt, with some grassy, slightly skunky aroma. Flavour is similar but with a light bready yeastiness. Straightforward, but not bad.

Bottled. An almost opaque slightly green coloured lager. The aroma is grassy and buttery. The taste is sweet and malty with a typical lager bite. Not very nice.

3fourths (6409) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 1, 2003
Very light yellow, looks like many american standard beers. Smells quite strong, like lemons, but still has that very common lager smell like nothing in particular. Taste is mild and bland, with nothing interesting or distinguishable. Near the end, this lager becomes irritating in the mouth, and overly sour.

leaparsons (6335) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2005
Golden with rising bubbles, small white head. Aromas are grain, butter and sweet biscuit. Flavours are sweet grain, biscuit with some apricot fruitiness. Good for a mass-produced beer.

500ml can. 4.5%
Disturbingly light, brief slightly fizzy head. Initial aroma quite fruity and pleasant, if a little cookie-cutter pale lagery, but becoming flat and papery after a while. Rather watery palate, crisp carbonation. Taste does vary from curiously fruity, or slightly gingery, to dreadfully dull, or a bit dishwatery, but always based on a very simple thin malty body. May possibly have been told about what hops are when it was in the womb. Relatively free from nastiness, apart from the papery aroma which was only a minor flaw.
