"This one has some nostalgia involved, but since that’s not a scorable attribute, here goes: slightly better than the macro plae lagers in the US, in that it’s drinkable and non-offensive. light grassy hops but mostly corn and malt in a light, drinkable package."

500ml can poured into a lager glass. Appearance is clear straw colored with a medium sized frothy white head, that reduced quickly leaving a little lacing on the glass. Aroma of corn, lemon zest and wheat bread. Flavours of corn, wheat bread, lemon zest, honey and a hint of alcohol. Taste is light-medium sweet and light-medium bitter. Palate is light bodied, thin texture and average carbonation. Overall a plain lager that is slightly too sweet and the alcohol is somewhat noticeable in the flavour.

Archetypical Münchener Helles with sticky, more or less stable head and pale straw blonde colour, clear. Aroma of ’pils’ malt, hay and flowery hops. Malty taste, grassy, very light touch of vanilla or honey, dryer in the middle and finish and ending in a mild herbal hoppiness.

I actually thought this was a German beer until I turned 13, and it might have been, at one point. Of course, they do have a Lowenbrau tent at Oktoberfest, but I was too drunk to put two and two together
