Znakomity doppelbock, rozgrzewajacy i pelny w smaku. Nuty karmelu mocy alkoholowej i slodowej podstawy. Finiszwytrawno slodki i lekko goryczkowy. Bardzo ciemny to doppelbock. Piana bezowa mocno zbita trwala wasiasta i obfita. Czego chciec wiecej.

Bottle. Dark ruby copper colour, medium head. Potent molasses and nuts aroma, followed by semi-sweet caramel flavours. Still not overly sweet. Well-made.

50 cl bottle @ lusikka, BBE 11/2013
Aroma has berries, strong malty notes, some wood and hints of cherry juice. Flavour is rather malty with berries, some raisins and juicy notes. Better than I expected.

500 ml bottle.
Pours a dark ruby red colour with a white beigeish head. Aroma of toasted malts, cherries, bread and some licorice. Flavour of toasted malts, strong bready notes, raisins, licorice, tart-ish notes, syrup and some nuts. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a warming, malty, slightly sweet, very subtle tart finish. Well balanced, as this is not too sweet and not overly malty.

0,5 l bottle. Pours dark red brown, small head. Starts very dark malty, light sour, later roasted, light oily. In the second row you can fell significant the alcohol with salty hints. The sweetness comes very late and on a low level. Not really that, what I expected.

Vom Fass. 9/10/12. Rich, rich aroma. Melanoidin explosion. The taste leaves nothing short. Chocolate. Slightly bitter. Rich, toast, crust. my lips are sticky from this beer.

Room temp bottle BB Oct 2013. Looks very similar to the Andechs Doppelbock I have just finished (dark brown, mid carbonation, dimpled head). Smell is quite toned down. Very foamy in mouth, which I don’t like. Taste - slight sharpness to start, flavour moves on to yeasty old ale, some toffee. This beer isn’t doing much for me.

Good solid doppelbock from Lowenbrau. Sweet taste, hints of molasses, toast, aroma of burnt coffee. Pours almost black with thin beige head. good mouthfeel and slight lingering tanginess in the aftertaste.
