A Pils with an unmistakable character, classically brewed with selected noble hop and finest malz. Always a benefit for the beer Gourmet.

Bottle, a gift from my local Getränkemarkt - thanks a lot! Quite pale, lovely champagne carbonation and foamy head though. Fair amount of bitterhops in the aroma. Papery, somewhat unclean malt base, aromatic and herbal hops, acidic finish. Quite thin body. Metallic retronasal.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.

[ As Löwenbrauerei Passau Pils ].
Clear medium yellow colour with a green touch, a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, sharp grass. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120111]

Bottle: Greenish-golden, smaller white foamy layer, clear, papery-grassy nose; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; slightly lingering dry - and more aromatic - herbal-hoppy finish with a small amount of pale malt as a counterpart. Not really bad, but all in all disappointing.....

bottle from pivnizub - cheers! Clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Lovely hoppy aroma. Light, elegant malty base with lots of grassy and resiny hops, herbal touch. Very nice.

(on tap at the Heilig-Geist-Keller, Passau) Clear and pale golden colour with a small foamy white head. Herbal hoppy aroma with a malty background. Light malty start with a lasting herbal and slightly floral hoppy finish. Quite rounded brew; a tasty and quaffable Pilsener.
