Gravity at Reading Beer Fest, with Kook, Duff, Chris_o and Joeh. Caramel coloured Mild. Smooth caramel, mingled with a rounded, but very soft and gentle coffee flavour through the middle and finish. Some winter fruit notes also. Good Mild. Enjoyed this one.

Cask@Reading BF. Not very good, undeveloped malt character, boiled vegetables, sweet, grainy, malty, thin mouthfeel.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2005 Mid brown colour - very pale for a dark mild. Restrained aroma, with hunts of dry malt. A touch of diacetyl too. Starts slightly sweet, becoming drier, with some bitterness. More backbone than many milds. The mouthfeel has an ashy, mineral quality. Not bad. Cask (gravity dispense), Reading beer Festival 2005.

Amber-Brown with beige suds. Fruity nose. Sweet caramel with a touch of dry roast malt in the finish. Plum/fruity notes there too. Bit chalky in the mouth feel but not a bad mild.
