Draft @ Benelux. Nice Belgian aroma. Tight, thick, white head that lingers. Clear golden color. The distinctive Belgian flavor, but a little lighter. Alcohol flavor evident. Med-light body. Overall, very drinkable, but not very "grand."

July 8, 2014 - on tap at Benelux. Clear golden pour with some head. Aroma was spice, yeast and alcohol. Taste was consistent with aroma but heavy spice and alcohol. Very dry finish.

[Tap] Milky yellow pour includes a nice cap of white head. Sweet malts and citrus rind evident in the nose. Tasting notes include more citrus up front, honey, candi sugar and hints of alcohol. Average body. Not bad, but pretty standard in my mind.

On tap at Café Centraal. Golden yellow with a creamy white head that laces it up. Aroma is yeasty with fruit, spice, toasted malts and banana bread. Taste is a mish mash and not very good. Herbal notes, cardboard, booze and yeast and faint fruit. Meh.

On tap at Cafe Hollander. Pours golden yellow, somewhat hazy with fluffy white head. Spots of lacing. Nose is clove, lemon, some banana, smells like it was just yanked from the ground. Bready mouthfeel, with more clove and a hint of crisp citrus. Lively carbonation. A nice surprise.

On tap @ Cafe Benelux. Golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of floral honey, sugar, with some light spice and mustiness. Flavor is light honey and sugar sweetness with a dry, tart finish. Medium body with average carbonation. Very nice Tripel, not as sweet as the aroma would dictate.

A pretty good tripel actually. Nice golden color, fruity with the noticeable honey notes. Went well with brunch.
