Robust and round witbier with flavors of orange, lemon and yeast and a touch of cinnamon and an almost earthy, nutty element. Has a bit of creaminess and just the right amount of zing. Exclusively brewed by the Lowlands Brewing Company at Brouwerij Van Steenberge in Ertvelde, Belgium and only available at Lowlands Group Grand Cafés.

250 ml draught at Café Hollander in Madison, WI, August 18th. Solid, typical wit appearance - cloudy, almost opaque gold with a thick fluffy lasting head...banana, lemon and just a hint of farmy, murky yeast in the pleasing but slight aroma...on the tongue, only a hint of that wheaty tartness, this is overall much sweeter than usual for the style, and the finish is not far off from (sweet) lemonade...it’s got a decent fullness to the body, and it’s drinkable enough, and I was hot from walking outside and this was the first beer at lunch - but that’s not enough to make it memorable. I’ve had some or all of the other Lowlands Collaborative beers here at Hollander and a couple of other locations, and frankly none of them have been all that special.

July 8, 2014 - on tap at Benelux. Cloudy yellow pour with some head and lacing. Aroma was citrus, spice, cinnamon and yeast. Taste was consistent with aroma, but also a touch nutty.

[Tap] Cloudy golden pour with a nice pillow of frothy white head. Nose is of citrus zest, lemongrass and spicy clove. Taste is of wheat malts, dough, clove, lemon zest and light coriander. Nice lingering spice notes. Good body as well. Enjoyable.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2015 At Benelux in Milwaukee. Maybe this batch was a little different than some of the other raters had but this was once of the most spiced/clovey wits I’ve had. Serving: Tap

Enjoyed on tap in carafe form at Cafe Hollander in Wauwatosa, WI while dining with friends. Appearance is a bright, cloudy gold with a rich white head. Aroma of spice, wheat, citrus, definite light aroma. Taste had a soft touch of spice/clove and mirrors the aroma. I thought this was pretty good, nothing groundbreaking and there are better brews for the style, but still not bad.

On tap @ Centraal. Pours a cloudy pale straw yellow with a fluffy white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy wheat backed by light citrus, flora and a hint of clove. Flavor is similar with light citrus and flora in the beginning but has an earthy wheat finish and a hint of clove.

A bit of a weak witbier. It is orangey and reminiscent of a Mannekin Pis Witbier but weaker.
