I’m in a dark bar....clear brown with ruby tints, thin head that lasts. Aroma is light, sweet, raisin. Lightly sweet, raisin that lasts. Light-medium body. As I learn more about Belgians, this could get rated higher. I do like it, just not sure how it fits to style.

A bit under-carbonated. Pretty uninspired dubbel if you ask me. On draft at Cafe hollander - Tosa.

Draft at Trocadero in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, approximately 12 ounce Goblet. Pour is a hazed chestnut brown along with a smallish off white head. Aroma is clove and spiced yeast, followed by roast malt, and a bit of sweet banana at the back. Taste is quite spiced, yeasty, nutmeg is present, along with spiced clove and the gentle roast of the nose. The fruit sweetness hangs around a touch in the back. Palate is medium to heavy bodied, soft carbonated mouth feel, and the yeast spiced finish with sweetness.

On draft at Cafe Hollander Milwaukee, 6/24/2011. Pours a clear, brown color with a light tan head and some lacing. Aroma is malty, raisin. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, dark fruit, cherry. A little light in the body for a dubbel, but not bad.
