Dark amber color with great head. Strong flavour and slightly alcoholic but not too much.

Poured from a 750 cork and caged bottle the beer presents a slightly hazy brown, the head monstrous in size, tan in color, creamy in texture, upon its evaporation the lacing forms a concealing sheet upon the glass. Nose has a earthy aroma, caramel and sweet malt, a touch of oak like sourness noted, delightful sniff. From has a pleasing malt profile, a somewhat bitter twang at the back, top has a light to moderate feel to the palate. Finish has a stern acidity, hops perfectly spicy, dry and tart aftertaste seals itself to the palate, touch of warming noticed, and a fine drinking brew that is worth the sample.

Bottle sampled on 7/05/07: Pours a transparent copper amber with a frothy wispy-lacing off-white head. Sweet caramely malty golden raisin aroma has a touch of doughy yeast. Body starts with plenty of carbonation and doughy earthy caramel malt toward a more bitter and drier finish with some warmth. A decent quad but could use a little more balance to hide the alcohol.

75cl bottle: Dark muddy brown with creamy bubbly white head that drags good lacings. Earthy, buiscuit, caramel, dried fruits (raisin/plum), alcohol & sugar. Smooth & full bodied. Long end.... Great!

Appearance: cloudy red, huge creamy beige head settles down to a lingering fiine head, starts with solid lace and eands up with drippy streaks of lace once the head settles,
Aroma: sweet dark ripe fruit aroma with lots of rum raison cookie character,
Body: creamy body,
Flavor: rich malt flavor, lots of fruity character, sweet ripe raisons and dates, touch of candy caramel adds to the sweetness and brings out the fruit, the yeast shot adds some bready character that melds well the sweet fruit to make a rum cake, little to no aparent alcohol, very light bitterness in the finish adds some balance but does not detract from everything else,
Overall: the creamy body and ripe fruit flavor combine for an exceptional treat

10/6/05.750 ml. Hazy brown with small tan head. Sour fruity aroma. Sweet fruity malts but an odd bitterness at the end which detracts. Some alcohol present.

Bottle. Bought at Hviid’s Aabenraa. Extremely deep red, bordering on black. Head is medium, creamy and a yellowish beige. Aroma is fruity and with a lot of roasted caramel. Very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is perhaps a little subdued. Lots of plums, raisins, roasted caramel. A slight viniousness hits a t the far end. A good brew, but nothing compared to other quads.
