750ml bottle, hazy dark brown color, with a tan-colored head, yeasty, fruity raisiny nose, with some toasty, biscuity, caramelized malt accents, with some nice dried dark fuits of date, fig, sultana, plum, with a hints of spicy nutmeg and chocolate in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, toasty, fruity, warmth character, with some chocolatey, plummy, raisiny, datey flavors, with a chocolatey praline, nutmeg, brown sugar, faint molasses accent, leading towards a warming, fruity, malty, chocolatey finish.

Bottle at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Thanks to Phil l Aged aroma. Yes, it’s an ok strong Belgian ale but it does have a fair amount of age to it, which is quite dominant.

Pours cloudy caramel color with off white head. Aromas of dark fruits with a touch of alcohol. Flavors of raisins, figs, some alcohol and a slight medicinal taste in the finish. Medium body with lively carbonation. Just OK.

Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 750 ml caged corked bottle. Dark chestnut pour with tight white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Heavy aroma of brown sugar, molasses and alcohol. Bold flavor with lots of candied sugar, molasses, butterscotch and brandy. Turns a bit "hot" though as it settles. Thickish, rich mouthfeel. Decent Quad.

Pours a deep woody brown with some orangey ruby highlights and a fizzy diminishing head. Aroma is cloyingly sweet from the start- a wierd dirty earth smell- insanely sharp sweet malts and out fo control fusely esters hgih in raisin and solvent. Flavor is insanely sweet, with a wierd crackery dusty character after a bit- too much fruity esters, too much special B sharpness and just a poorly made quad.
