| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Courtesy SoLan. Pours a dark reddish brown, with a well retained light tan head. Very thick, rich malty sweet smell. Dark fruit and berries with touches of alcohol dominate the nose. Taste is pretty big and sweet. Alcohol is well represented. Thick molasses, dark sweet fruits and malts, and a slight bitterness sum up the flavors. Tastes like a typical quad. Not bad, but maybe a little too bitter in its sweetness. thegreenrooster (1853), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 27, 2008 Pour is a dark red with a average tan head. Aroma is nice with some dark fruit and candi sugar with some alcohol. Flavor is caramel with some more dark fruit and a heavy breadyness. Alcohol is no problem and does not get in the way. A pretty decent beer and there is nothing really wrong with it but there still are even better quads out there. thornecb (1822), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Off-white head with excellent retention sheets as it slowly recedes. Fig and prune aromas. Sweet dried apricot and pit fruit upfront with a dry, lasting caramel finish. Becomes cloying. rederic (1816), montréal, Quebec, Canada
