75cl bottle: Dark muddy brown with creamy bubbly white head that drags good lacings. Earthy, buiscuit, caramel, dried fruits (raisin/plum), alcohol & sugar. Smooth & full bodied. Long end.... Great!

Dark teakwood colored beer with tight beige head. Aromas of caramel, prunes a light floral and a mellow sweetness. Strong roasted malty flavor up front with a little bit of a fruity grape-like flavor. Some candy flavor along with a bitter finish.

pours brown with tan head, aroma is brown sugar, oatmeal and chocolate but no fruits which knocks the score down a bit. It has a decent malty flavor with tons of alcohol also get a bit of hops somewhere in there. overall good but i prefer trappist quads like rochefort

Bottle from PP Belgian Beer Fest. Dark fruity in the aromas. More raisin and cramel in the flavor. Some alcohol mingled in with this sweet malty brew.

750ml bottle shared with a friend - Pours dark brown with a nice tan head that clings to the side of the glass and laces in layers. Aromas of candi sugar, raisins, yeast, caramel, and a little wood. Flavor is candi suager, raisin, yeast, caramel, and some alcohol at the finish. Soft mouthfeel with good carbonation and full body. Easy drinking for a big beer. Alcohol is slightly present at the finish though. Other than that this was delightful.

Bottle (660ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, tupalev, Dave B and R - courtesy of R. Poured deep cloudy reddish-brown with a large creamy lasting light brown head. Very appealing aroma - lactic roast malt, simply yards of sweetish yeast, a hint of hops - quite complex. Could taste the alcohol on my tongue, sharply roast malt, again piles of (fruity) yeast, mildly spicy, quite a long finish, starts sweet-malt and finishes slightly hop-bitter. Sticky mouthfeel, average body. It’s a solid brew, not quite up to the better quads, fairly close to Koenigshoeven, but not up to Rochefort or St. Bernardus.

Pours clear amber into a Trappist glass. Off-white head with excellent retention sheets as it slowly recedes. Fig and prune aromas. Sweet dried apricot and pit fruit upfront with a dry, lasting caramel finish. Becomes cloying.
