2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 felsenpils (39) - Sacramento, USA - NOV 28, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2011 Starts out very promising. Nice golden color and good Belgian ale aroma.
But oh no, they have gassed it with oily West Coast hops! Too bad, would have been a solid Belgian, but now just another run of the mill microbeer.

Pours hazy/slightly clear yellow with white head, aroma has notes of lemon, biscuit, some belgian yeast character, slight fruit notes. Taste is lemon and fruit, some sweet bread, yeast and biscuit flavors, ever so slight yeast notes finishing sweet and slightly dry. Very refreshing.

My first Lucette beer. I had no idea what kind of beer it was when I ordered. Gold color and minimal carbonation. Belgian yeast in the aroma with some sugar. Flavor is not really Belgian in character, sweet and sugary with a weizen quality, sweet wheat and some banana. Light palate and an OK session beer. As far as style, it doesn’t fit anywhere very well.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - NOV 27, 2010
On draught at the Eau Claire Fire House in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma changes with temperature. When served at 35°F, more citrus hop profile is detected. Allow to warm up and more Belgian yeast is noted. At proper serving temperature it has aroma of golden grain malt, Belgian yeast, a hint of cotton candy, Centennial style hops and a hint of citrus. Taste is light to medium bodied, with a combination flavor of Belgian yeast, grapefruit, golden grain malt and a hint of fruit. Finish has a sharp and short lived citrus hop bitterness, followed by a yeast and golden grain malt aftertaste. Multi-personality on this Lucette depending on the mood (temperature) she’s in.
