Air is the lightest beer produced by Lucid Brewing. A blend of the palest malted barley and wheat combined with a mix of American hops give this beer a sweet citrus aroma with hints of mangos and key-limes. The smooth light body is effervescent and finishes clean and crisp. Filtered to perfection, this beer is great for the boat, sitting around the campfire, and everyday enjoyment.

Draft at Gold Nugget. Some corn in the nose. Hazy, yellow body; a good ale needs some haziness. Creamy mouthfeel with some corn notes. Light bodied but with more flavor than you’d expect. No discernible flaws which is always a good sign with a new brewer. A good effort and hopefully to be followed up by some more ambitious styles. Glad to have Lucid as the first brewer in my ometown of Minnetonka!

Tap. Pours hazy yellow with less then an inch of white head. Lemon and sweet fruit comes through in the aroma. Taste hard to pull from this beer. Definitely get a level of sweetness (mangos, lemon) but there is a level of diacetyl that comes through. Beer was over carbonated as well. If carbonation and diacetyl corrected could be an ok beer.

Tap. Poured into stemmed tulip. Pours a hazy yellow with a little orange highlights. Aroma of some lemon citrus, lighter fruit, wheat and infection. Tastes like pure hot buttered popcorn! Just fucking nasty. diacetyl bomb.

Pint at Pizza Luce in Hopkins, MN. The beer was a light hazy yellow with a decent white head. So far so good. Flavor was light grain, very small amount of citrus and had a clean finish. Just what I wanted with my pizza. This beer could be consumed by the litter easily and along with Spotted Cow from New Glarus is what I feel a light refreshing beer should be.
