jcnielsen (2284) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Bottle shared at Exira Beer Summit 2012. Thanks to bnielsen13 for sharing. Pours a golden color with big white head. Very foamy. Malty sweet, biscuit, almost corn aroma. Malty, bitter, bready flavor, not a lot of hops. Overcarbonated, and mouthfeel is tingly as a result. Not very good pale ale.

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit III. Thanks to bnielsen13! Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a big white head. Herbal, veggie, corn, a bit tangy aroma. Tangy, chewy herbal, corny flavor. Not good.

piscator34 (1997) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 6, 2012
Bottled sample. Gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of soapy citrus fruit, pear, and a bit of bready/toasty malts. Flavors are of white grapefruit, caramel, earth, weeds, and white pepper. Medium to light bodied with a firm earthy bitterness. A fairly standard, if somewhat rustic, APA. Solid.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Looks like a champagne. This is bitter. Also has fruit and yeast. Light malts. Mostly it is bitter.

22 oz bomber purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pour is hazed yellow golden with a one inch white head that falls with decent lacing. The aroma is floral, bread, hay, along with sweet malt. The taste is the bready hay and sweet malt, floral herbal hops behind that. The palate is light to medium bodied, low rough carbonation, and a bit of dirtiness in the finish.

Bonus bottle from kbutler1 - thanks! Pours amber with a trim white head. Smells and tastes of lemon zest, crackers, and pale malt. Nice summer beer.

Aroma is bready...bready? an American Pale? where are the hops? some bitterness in the initial taste with excessive maltiness in the finish. not balanced at all. very sweet. is there corn extract? I doubt it, but thats the type of sweetness I pick up. it is very smooth and somewhat refreshing, and yes, maybe very sessionable. but I for one dont want my pale ales so watery and weak. with the excessive malt, amp this up to somewhere north of 60 ibus, or cut back the malt, and we might have a new lawn mower beer. bomber on sale for $3.97 which might be $0.50 too high in its current miller lite-like incarnation

Nice Pale Ale. Great aroma. Nice light orange color. Tasted a little sharp maybe to much carb. Lingering dank, slightly spicy bitterness. I'd order it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
