One word. Meh. LOOKS like it should have some great flavor, and that’s where it ends. It is a very one dimensional beer in taste which consists of hops and zero malt. It’s odd, because when you look it the dark golden color, your mind tells you it will be pretty flavorful. It isn’t. Will not be seeking this one out again.

Draft at the brewery. There’s little aroma on this, but it’s essentially the prototype APA package. It’s dense, but agile ... well balance, clean ... but not much to distinguish it from the many, many quality middle of the road beers out there. (#5662, 8/28/2014)

Bottle from Four Firkin. Pours an unclear orange with a white head. Aroma has light fruits, grapefruit, some pine and something astringent. Taste is heavy pine, grapefruit, sweet caramelly malts and resin. Bitter up front but the sweetness carries through over time. Medium bodied. Finishes bitter and sweet, in fairly good balance. Shrug? Not unpleasant. 13.4

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2014 Nice balance; good hops "bite". Pleasant aftertaste. A well-done APA, low enough alcohol to be session-able.

Bottle thanks to Raith. Pours a golden yellow with one finger of head. Aroma is slightly hoppy bread and yeast also. Flavor is bready and biscuit. Nice hop bitterness. Maybe too much for a pale ale though. Overall nice.

Beer of month club. Pours a hazy light gold. Nice floral and pine nose. Taste has some citrus and some caramel - a touch of hops on the finish. I prefer more bitterness on he finish, but this was an easy to drink, solid pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A nice orange amber body with a nice white head that had good retention and great lace. Aroma had nice caramel malt profile. A nice citrus hop note initially with a mild pine note. Maybe some grass. Flavor had a good malt presence. Caramel malts were nice. Hops seemed unbalanced. It came across bitter and then astringent. Moderate mouth feel. Okay beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Prairie Tap House. Pint glass. Appearance is light golden, maybe leaning more yellow. Smell is slightly weak...some citrus and hops. Refreshing with some bitterness. Some hints of citrus fruit. Finish is kind of harsh. Dy-not going to order this again.

Bottle. Bright hoppy aroma. Taste - mellow grassy-citrus hops balanced with caramel biscuity malt. Medium body. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Light orange. White head, good lacing. Floral piney hop aroma. Citrus flavor, with strong hoppiness. Finish could be better. Wanted more body to it. Average, not dyno-mite.
