Belgian-styled Sasion. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized. The beer has a hazy orange hue due to the yeast which stays in suspension. The flavor and aroma are fruity and peppery with notes of citrus zest and cloves. The 5.5% ABV beer will be available in 6-packs and on draft during the summer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a minimal head. Flavor is mild, light malt and cereal, along with some fruity notes of banana, clove, a bit of black pepper. Finish is dry, with a little beat of heat on the back of the throat. Medium bodied. Easy sipping session brew.

Tap at New Bohemia in Golden Valley. Good happy hour price. Bumped pint glass. Minimal head. Golden and orange hued. Some effervescence. Aroma is spicy like you would expect from a saison. Little citrus too. Taste is similar to other Lucid offerings in that it’s mild and quick to finish. It sports the yeast funk with plenty of spice running through it. It’s a below average but palatable saison.

One of many beers picked up on a trip to the Minneapolis area, this one managed to muster a passing grade but not set itself apart. A six pack would have been nicer in that I could have mixed in other beers while finishing it off. Even so it was solid enough that I would give Lucid another chance.

Aroma / Appearance - A cloudy warm orange base shimmers with a rich white head that falls over the course of a few minutes. Lively carbonation unleashes waves of mandarin oranges, creamsicle, and dough being kneaded on the cutting board. Banana undertones add a nice layer of fruitiness.

Flavor / Palate - Carbonated banana smoothie and orange zest provide an immediate zip. The refreshing creamy mouthfeel bubbles with a chewy texture. A run of the mill beer offers a different twist than the average saison. The lack of a hook that sets it apart means that it ultimately falls into the middle of the pack with all the other well made regional beers.

This was a "beer of month club" offering given to me by a friend. It pours a cloudy yellow with a white head that foamed up majestically. Light lacing. Nose of Belgian yeast, light fruit, and some funk. Medium body and a highly carbonated mouth feel. Flavor is the fruit, and some spice zing. Finished with a light funk and a hint of citrus. Nice enough drinking..

Bottle at porch nite thanks to Chad. Pointless a hazy yellow with an enormous white head. Yeasty some fruitiness. Fairly sweet. Too sweet but overall decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by Keith. Pours hazy golden with soapy white head lasting. Very carbonated with apple, yeasts, pungent sweet tones are the main notes.

Pours a hazed out, clouded goldfish orange with some brown interlacing. Impressively firm off white head that was quite resilient. Nose is exceedingly aromatic: hay, mud, pungent perfume hops, lavender. Definitely some barnyard funk in there as well. Pretty complex beer. Nice effervescence, which gives way to a cracker and biscuit-laden malt backbone that was undetectable in the aroma. Has a bright fruity element as well: juniper berries and wildflowers. A nice deviation from the herbal/lemon qualities usually found in Saisons. Well done.

Beer of month club. Pours hazy yellow color with bright white foam head. Nose is yeast, some tropical fruit and some soapy-type aroma. Taste has some spice and a little bitterness. Kinda simple and, while not bad, not all that interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
