COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian golden ale. On the nose it is lightly hoppy and yeastily spicy, with faint caramelly malt notes and a touch of citrusy and estery fruit. The head tastes extremely bitter, as is often the case with this style. Surprisingly fruity, but with a strong hoppy bitterness. There is a warming, malty, vanilla quality to it, which develops into an alcohol kick towards the end. Secondary fermentation in the bottle.

I obviously got a light-struck bottle. I don’t know why Riva persiss to package such a good beer in a green bottle. Pale-yellow/golden cloudy colour . Aside form the off flavour/aroma from light damage, I taste bannana and candy sugar with a devilshly warming finish.

Belgian Strong Ale is a bit of a misnomer here; this is soft and subtle, and there is nothing strong about it. Soft fruitiness with underlying malt, very little hops, and no bitterness. Persistent head stayed with this overwhelmingly charming, smooth beer. Nothing particular stands out about this beer, however ther are no negative qualities.

Wow. What a kick to this beer. Went to Belgo in NYC for this one. Great flavor & nice alcohol taste.

One of the better Belgian Ales that I have had, but I am still not a fan of this style.
