COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian golden ale. On the nose it is lightly hoppy and yeastily spicy, with faint caramelly malt notes and a touch of citrusy and estery fruit. The head tastes extremely bitter, as is often the case with this style. Surprisingly fruity, but with a strong hoppy bitterness. There is a warming, malty, vanilla quality to it, which develops into an alcohol kick towards the end. Secondary fermentation in the bottle.

33cl bottle. It actually was the last bottle the bar had and could not get more due to the brewery going bankrupt. Pours golden with thin white head. Aroma is hoppy, yeasty lightly fruity. Taste was sweet, citrusy and yeasty. Found the beer to be extremelly sweet and complex.

Bottle & tap, several occasions. This is a personal favourite, one of the better "satanic" beers. Looks beautiful in its own glass, clear golden with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast and malts. Taste is sweet and hoppy, dry, yeasty, all very subtle. A bit of spices in there too. Highly drinkable. A bit softer than Duvel.

I drank this in Belgium, cause it was the only thing I could pronounce at the restaurant. It was a good brew, but it wasn’t anything to write back to dad about.

Bottle. Pours golden with a medium white head. A typical belgian golden ale with a yeasty and malty aroma and flavour. Good spicy flavour.

Botella, courtesy of Plovman. Unclear golden colour. Sweet yeasty and malty bit alcoh aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a soft fruity sweetness with yeast and malt along with a mild bitterness.

bottle. Pours a bright amber straw color with a good size fizzy head. Decent layer sticks around for a while. Aromas of caramel sweetness with a somewhat surprising bite of earthy hops. Flavors of lots of fruity boozy esters, some sharp hop bitterness. MIddling amount of smooth malty sweetness. A bit fizzy and light on the palate. Decent, but not much depth to it.

Bottled 33cl. It pours a yellow beer with a white head. Cork showing up in the nose. Woody with notes of grapes and melon. Musty. A remarkable aroma. It reminds me of wine. Very special and distinctive. Some vitamin tablets sneaking in. Lovely taste. Melon accompanied by grapes and papaya. Musty. Wonderfully fruity with a pleasant woody component. Sweet with notes of candy and cork. Full bodied. The alcohol is rather present. Nice lacing. Fruity yeasty finish with a hint of white bread and pepper. A great beer.

light yellow pour with sizable white foamy head reminding me of Duvel or Chimay. Lightly citrusy nose. Taste of citrus and hops. Worth a try and overall good, just not outstanding.

From an 11.2 ounce bottle purchased at By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a yellow-golden body with a small white head. Yeasty, fruity nose. Spicy with lots of funky esters. Quenching, smooth and finished dry and delicious.

About an average Belgian Strong. Very carbonated which gave it a crisp clean finish. Flavor was a bit bland for the style. Not bad but better examples around.
