COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian golden ale. On the nose it is lightly hoppy and yeastily spicy, with faint caramelly malt notes and a touch of citrusy and estery fruit. The head tastes extremely bitter, as is often the case with this style. Surprisingly fruity, but with a strong hoppy bitterness. There is a warming, malty, vanilla quality to it, which develops into an alcohol kick towards the end. Secondary fermentation in the bottle.

<Bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a hazy light golden color with a two finger thick white head. Light lacing. Aroma is light yeast and esters. Flavor also has some yeast, light citrus and esters. Has a well carbonated feel to the palate. Light to medium body. Not bad.

Classic Belgian golden. Pleasantly in the fruit esther malt department and slightly spicey towards the back and finish. Classic!

Poured from a bottle, pours cloudy light amber, tastes of fight, raspberry and slight metallic. Not bad, not my type. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

For a Belgian of this magnitude , it really lacks the luster. Has the strength if a hard Belgian, with a malt fruity and low hops. Still worth a try ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mmm, delicious. Effervescent, crisp, and dry. Nice amount of alcohol with a distinct and somewhat unique blend of the usual Belgian spices.

Rating the 2012 batch from Het Snker. Pours with a towering head, and nice golden color (tulip glass). Closely resembles a Duvel in taste and body. Sought this one out and was rewarded with a nice drink!

Bottle. Light gold with thick white head. Spicy head. Hazy. Long lasting head. Heavily carbed. Has some potential. Not an everyday beer but glad I tried it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From BA: Brown squatty 33cl bottle, best before 06/2010, drank on 26th Oct 2007. My bottle says it is brewed by a Liefmans Brewery. Poured into a Leffe glass it came out a golden clear yellow and a large white head sat on tap, sadly the head shrank away very swiftly. I got carbolic soap mixed in with the yeast when I put my nose to it, not a good aroma to me. Full on alcohol taste and more lagerish than a normal Belgian Ale. The aftertaste was thin although the alcohol does linger. A little disappointed with this beer, I was expecting more flavour and more umph.
