3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (8243) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2006
A golden ale with a thin white head. Light fruity esters with light caramle malt and warming alcohol, and light bubblegum finale. A sweet malt with alcohol burn, light banana and bubblegum. Medium bodied. Lightly metallic. A high class malt liquor. On tap at l’Autre Oeil, Oct.12 2006.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hopscotch (8215) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 26, 2003
Clear, straw-colored brew. Frothy, white head with nice lacing.
Low marks for aroma. LIGHT STRUCK! I can't believe a brown-bottled brew is skunked. Otherwise, the aroma is of coriander and yeast. Smells like a high ABV hefe.
The flavor is well-balanced with warm alcohol, fuzzy fruit and banana. Full-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Long, spicy, alcoholic finish.
Overall, not a bad brew. A good one, actually. My bottle was way off as I have tried, but not rated this beer previously!

pale orange colour, big head, very spicy and yeasty, citrusy, full with some bitterness.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 pivnizub (7993) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 25, 2005
Very pale golden coloured, very long lasting big rocky white head; fruity (bananas; orange (?)) and a bit alcoholic nose with some hints of herbal hoppiness; very fizzy; sweetish, fruity, soft taste, dominated by some alcohol; turning into a long lasting, dry hoppy aftertaste.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 20, 2005
(bottle) Light yellow colour with big foamy white head. Aromas of hops and yeast with a little bit of straw and grass. Mild malty taste with a acidic dry hoppy finish & alcoholic in the positive way.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JoeMcPhee (7621) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 22, 2004
Fitting for number 666. Very pale straw coloured beer with a huge lasting head. Big yeasty aroma, apricot/peachy fruit, green apple, black pepper spiciness, and more hoppy aromas than I was expecting, with a hop profile reminiscent of Orval, grassy and herbal. Flavour is quite light and refreshing, yeast, spice, some fruitiness. Ethanol is noticible. Very good, if a little thin-bodied.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ratman197 (7614) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - DEC 18, 2005
750 ml bottle poured a clear yellow with a small white head. Aromas of pineapple and banana. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of citrus with a hint of banana and a dry crisp finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 maeib (7542) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2004
Draught - White Horse - Parsons Green London SW6. A golden coloured beer with bananas and spices on the aroma. The taste has coriander, lemon, wheat, perfume and roses. Having said all that though it’s a bit thin. OK though.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 FatPhil (7496) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 6, 2011
330ml bottle (Delirium Cafe, Brussels) BB2010-12, drunk 2011-01
5 Not much aroma, only slightly sweet light berries.
3 cloudy orange with sinky bits, small head. Delirium barman poured rather than us, grrr...
6 Gentle light grains, milky, absolutely no hint of alcohol, and it doesn’t taste like a big beer at all. Has some of the sweetness of fresh almonds.
4 Pleasant palate before you get to the sludge at the bottom (which squicks me a bit), good level of carbonation.
14 Aged very well, massively mellow and soft. Shame that it’s lacking some balls in the aroma department. Dunno if the new moortgat Lucifer will compare well to this, I hope so.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (7306) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUN 9, 2003
Pale yellow, hazy. Thick, fast collapsing very white head. Nose of grain, seemingly some wheat too. Very grassy aroma, or unripe fruit. Grainy taste. Sugar-candi dryness, slightly spicey impression. Dry mouthfeel. Alcohol is there, but well masked. Long dry aftertaste. Somehow, and from the very beginning, I've always thought of this beer as of a super-strong Dentergems wit, rather than as a Duvel-competitor. It has characteristics of both, anyway. Like it.
