3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DrPiva (90) - Alabama, USA - DEC 19, 2007Bottle. A belgian golden ale similar to Duvel with a fruity, winey bouquet and a malty, pear flavor. A sherry-oak finish, and a semi-dry, mildly bitter, hoppy, fruity aftertaste.

Classic Belgian golden. Pleasantly in the fruit esther malt department and slightly spicey towards the back and finish. Classic!
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Majin (221) - West Des Moines, Iowa, USA - MAY 14, 2013
Poured from a bottle, pours cloudy light amber, tastes of fight, raspberry and slight metallic. Not bad, not my type.

For a Belgian of this magnitude , it really lacks the luster. Has the strength if a hard Belgian, with a malt fruity and low hops. Still worth a try

Mmm, delicious. Effervescent, crisp, and dry. Nice amount of alcohol with a distinct and somewhat unique blend of the usual Belgian spices.

33cl bottle at BXL Zoute inNYC. Pours cloudy hazy orange with medium white head and lots of lacing. Alcohol and hops come through with some citrus aroma. A pleasant beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 stevoj (971) - Ramstein-Miesenbach, GERMANY - AUG 3, 2012
Rating the 2012 batch from Het Snker. Pours with a towering head, and nice golden color (tulip glass). Closely resembles a Duvel in taste and body. Sought this one out and was rewarded with a nice drink!
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rrauth (650) - North Carolina, USA - JUN 15, 2012
Bottle. Light gold with thick white head. Spicy head. Hazy. Long lasting head. Heavily carbed. Has some potential. Not an everyday beer but glad I tried it.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (2440) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2012
From BA: Brown squatty 33cl bottle, best before 06/2010, drank on 26th Oct 2007. My bottle says it is brewed by a Liefmans Brewery.
Poured into a Leffe glass it came out a golden clear yellow and a large white head sat on tap, sadly the head shrank away very swiftly.
I got carbolic soap mixed in with the yeast when I put my nose to it, not a good aroma to me.
Full on alcohol taste and more lagerish than a normal Belgian Ale.
The aftertaste was thin although the alcohol does linger.
A little disappointed with this beer, I was expecting more flavour and more umph.
