Poured two fingers of head on a cloudy, medium straw colored body. The aroma was of dry grain and alcohol. Not great. The nice was mild apple and pear with a mild bitterness. Smooth and mellow. The texture was crisp with moderate carbonation. An easy drinking beer, by no means the best or worst.

75cl bottle. Aged for 2 years. Appearance: clouded blonde beer, unstable white head. Nose: grains, caramel, oxidated, Saccharomyces cerevisiae (yeast used by backers), over aged hops. Taste: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, caramel, oxidated, yeast, too much carbonation in the mouth. Shouldn’t have been cellared, i’ll try a fresh one asap.

Overall good beer on tap at Daily Pint, caramel, bread, coffee, but smooth and crisp, yum.

P: Clear golden yellow with a swampy white head that swirls around the edge of the glass. S: Tropical fruits, cinnamon and bubblegum. T/M: Cinnamon candy, bubblegum, coriander, tropical fruit, hints of bitter green bananas. Spice profile is aggressive and compliments the fruit well. Zesty vivacious body in a moderate body. Finish is wet but progressively dry and lingers fruit (guava and orange peel) sprinkled with ground pippali pepper. O: A solid beer that delivers complexity and a great spice profile. It’s easy drinking for an 8% beer. Highly recommend it.

From 750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color with thick foam like fluffy head that sticks around and leaves great lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast, black peppercorn, apples, and bananas. Tastes of all the same things that are in the smell with a mildly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium and very chewy and very well carbonated almost reminds me of champagne as far as the carbonation. It also finishes dry. This is a really good Belgian golden ale. Nothing really sets it apart from other ones but Belgian beers are my favorite so it doesn’t take much to please. Definitely has one of the best heads and most lively carbonation I’ve seen for a Belgian ale.

11.2 oz bottle pours hazy amber with a thick white head. Aroma of grass, sweet malt, yeast and spices. Taste is yeast, spice and banana's. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Duvel’s less known cousin? Fruity - citrus and banana. Rather sweet and somewhat bitter in the end. Lively carbonation and long finish. One of those typically Belgian beers, very enjoyable and interesting even if not that distinct nor original.

Sampled from an 11/2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with an enormous foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish and tart citrus, pepper and Sweettart candies. the flavor was tart lemon, chalk, Swettart candies and a bit of bread. Medium length tart lemon and bread finish. Medium body. Decent.
