Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer & Beyond, Tel Aviv. Light golden yellow, a bit cloudy, with small off-white head. Sweetish aroma, bready, corn sugar, rice, a bit cheesy yeasty. Flavor is yeasty, corn, alcoholic, light sweetness, rice. Medium dry, lively carbonation. Light to medium body. Sweetish aftertaste.

(75 cl bottle from Vinius, Chios; BBD: 07/02/16; Lot 13009) Pours a hazy golden with frothy, white head. Good retention and beautiful lace. Aroma has notes of fruity esters, green apples and spicy hints of Belgian yeast. Oily texture, medium body, lively carbonation and an astringent, warming finish. Flavour is boozy, spicy and relatively dry. Ok for what it is but far from being my favourite from Het Anker.

Hazy golden orange with a nice frothy head. Dried fruit, raw barley, raisin, and nellow spices in the aroma. Flavor is but wuite the same and adds a licorice flavor.

The beer pours a slightly hazy light yellow with a large white head, and the aroma blends light malts, Belgian yeast, sour fruit, and wheat. The taste is mildly sweet and slightly sour, but the palate elevates the flavor due to the average carbonation, thin and slick texture, medium-light body, and a finish that extends the flavor with an extra kick of Belgian yeast flavor.

0.33L bottle. Pouts hazy golden orange with a rocky white head. Really interesting and strong aromas. Dried fruit, bubblegum, sweet candy. Little malt character in this beer. Starts almost immediately with light bitterness, transitioning to alcohol, yeast, woody and salty flavors. Finishes slightly sour, but doesn’t linger very long, leaving behind heady alcohol feeling. Light body with a relatively thin mouthfeel and sharp carbonation. Overall, I’m a bit disappointed in the flavor and texture after the amazing aromas coming off this beer.
