330ml bottle at Bierbrasserie Cambrinus, shared with Finn. Patchy surface to a golden body. Sweet fruity aroma, slightly spicy. Spiced fruity taste, along with berries. Warming alcohol. Ok with the food (Brugge, 04.05.2011).

Good in every single feature. I do not know why they changed the phormula but it has nice aroma and ffoam. A little simple after some zips.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Not sure of the vintage, but I’d assume that it is a 2009+. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a cream white head. Good retention. Aromas of coriander, clove, phenols and esters. Alcohol, candi sugar, and light plastic. Minimal malt notes. Flavors are dry and alcoholic with esters, pepper, clove, candi sugar and orange peel. Lively bubbles, dry and creamy. Warming.

15/05/2011 75cl bottle @ Brouwerij Het Anker - BB: 21/4/2014 (2011-207)
Very little cloudy blonde beer, white aery head, dissipates fast, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, candi sugar. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, little fruity, bit of sugar. Hops are present but only very faintly. Aftertaste: more fruitiness, citrus, a bit chemical even, some malts and again very faint hop presence. If you want to play in the Duvel league, you need more hops, I think. But maybe keeping the EBU low, was one of the conditions when they bought the brand from Moortgat?

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Gold pour with an aroma of bread, spice and mild hop.
The taste is similar with a splash of banana and other fruits. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2 May 2011, bottle. very very pale yellow, clear, steady bubbles, frothy white head. has a big alcohol and yeasty nose. some coriander as well. thin/med body and moderately fizzy. lots of alcohol. this one is definitely 8%. rather disappointing overall. not much of the sweet aspect of most belgian strong ales. a very dry white wine taste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy yellow in hue and exploding with head, Lucifer smells like a ripe old lemon rind with a dash of spice. Medium in body, formidable in strength, the devil tastes like herbaceous lemon peels, creamed tangerines and peppery yeast. I’d like this to be a little more dry in the finish, but otherwise not bad. Like most heftier Belgians, this brew will get much better as it warms and will taste devilishly awful when cold.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle. Pours a cloudy, golden colour with a lot of bubbles and a very generous head. The nose has lemon zest, herbs and cream. The taste has more creamy lemon and some malt. There is also a grassy note in the middle. The palate has big structure, a creamy texture and the finish cleans somewhat . Overall, an enjoyable beer!
