Found this at Paul’s Grocery in McCall, ID. Pours hazy yellow with a medium-sized white head and moderate lacing. Nose is ripe fruit and some yeast. Medium in body. The flavor is a good balance between malts and flavorful; yeast. Finish shows grapefruit and some spices. Tasty. Good Belgian.

Nice aroma, although not strong. Pleasant color with a little bit of cloudiness. Very good belgian flavor - well rounded. Sweet. Crisp, satisfying palate. Nice.

2013.01.03 - Het Anker Lucifer 11.2oz bottle in pint glass. Pours a hazy yellow, not really gold. A fat 1-2 finger white head subsides quickly to a white cap/film with some lacing. Aroma is yeasty and some phenol/esters (?), a bit earthy. Taste is carbonation and a mild bit of burn on the front end, a bit fruity maybe mild banana ester on the middle with mild sweetness, slight bitter on the back end. Seems like a well done beer, but not really my cup of tea. I like many Het Anker brews so I gave it a try. Enjoyable but not likely a repeat purchase for me.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Lucifer was very happpy to see me, and by that I mean the bottle was a gusher; always a shame to spill good beer. It turns out to be a hazy golden color with a white head. Fruity yeasty aroma. Aroma and taste are in line with the most prominent example of this style, the Duvel, but less pronounced. All in all a decent Belgian strong blonde (which should be a seperate style on Ratebeer by the way).

11.2 oz. bottle. Great white frothy head. Slight hay aroma. Not bad. Slight haze. Fruit, clove and yeast taste. High carbonation.

Cobra (1100) - - DEC 12, 2012
750 ml brown Belgian bottle. Corked & caged. No freshness date seen. Loud pop released the cork. Plenty of carbonation in this monster. Poured out a cloudy, piss yellow color, with a decent foamy white head. Aromas are of straw, clove, some phenols, funky yeast. Flavors are of funky yeast, wet hay, stale sourdough bread, slightly hoppy too. Alcohol is well hidden, but does sneak up on you. Rich & creamy mouthfeel. Decent Belgian overall.
