Pale golden with a large white head. Fruity with malty notes. Malt, fruit and sweetness. Full body with a balanced, sweet finish.

Bready, doughy aroma. Pours opaque golden color with extraordinarily frothy head. Very light on the front with light sweetness, but finishes mildy bitter and a little salty. Very light body with thin texture with average carbonation. Finishes bitter and abruptly. Overall a fair beer. Not overwhelming experience.

Bottle at a pub in Lier, Belgium. It poured a hazy yellow-golden liquid with a big white head. Fruity and yeasty smell with some spices. Similar taste but with a pinch of hops. Surprisingly well made, easy to drink with a dangerously high ABV that I hardly noticed.

Bottle. Aroma of yeast. Kind of a pear smell too. Taste has some musty, dusty yeast to it. Bit of a apple taste I think, kind of a red delicious flavor. Bit of bread too. Overall a fruity yeasty taste, I really like this beer! Very tasty considering the ABV. I don’t think I’d get this over another Belgian Strong Ale considering in these parts it’s fairly expensive (like 5-6 bucks per 12 oz) but it’s definitely a really good beer. 8% alcohol.

phaleslu (6608) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 3, 2011
Draft at The Bridge. Pours a mostly clear, pale straw gold with a small but resilient bone white head. Aroma of banana, pale and bready malts, candi sugar, tropical fruit, and grains. Flavor of banana, bready malts, hay, candi sugar, dry grains, and crackers. Medium-bodied, with a bready, malty mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Dry finish. Decent strong Belgian ale. Doesn’t live up to its name.

750. bottle- Pours cloudy straw yellow with a nice large 3 finger white head and good lace. Aroma is banana, clove, Belgian yeast. Taste is very Belgian, that unique flavor that only Belgian ales (and the clones) have, very yeasty. The body is medium, carbonation is lively, bubbles dancing on the tongue like champagne. Overall very good, but can’t match the greats (Delerium Tremens, Duvel, Rochefort).

Bottle form Csakajosor.hu. Poured somewhat hazy, with a golden color and an off-white, lively foam. Yeast, honey, peach, hints of cinnamon and hops in the aroma. Medium dense, highly carbonated, somewhat oily body. Sweet, yeasty aftertaste. Not bad, not great. OK.

Bottle at WOB. Cloudy pale yellow pour with a huge white head. Definitely over-carbonated. Lemon, coriander, and yeast aromas. The taste is a little bland and was dominated by Belgian yeast, muted citrus, and spice notes.

slightly opaque straw yellow. fluffy white head. Nice strong belgian pale ale with a decent amount of hops. Sweet pale malts, belgian spices with a solid carbonation rate. some nice hop characteristics, but light.

Tap @ Max and Joes Omaha. Slightly hazy, light blonde appearance with a pearl white head. Fairly floral hoppy, light citrusy, pale malty nose. Floral, bitter hoppiness (like a heineken), mild orange citrusy, light belgian yeasty flavor. Not bad but there are better options.
