Bottle at home. Blonde pour, huge foamy white head. Aroma is spicy malts, flowery Belgian hops, some sugars and slightly yeasty. Flavor is somewhat sweet, quite spicy bitter and with some alcohol in the finish. Quite boring brew, but not bad. Lively carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a foamy white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with citrus, light banana and alcohol. Flavor was sweet and malty with subtle caramel, yeast, fruit, faint citrus and notes of some spices with a lightly bitter finish.

750 ml bottle (cage and cork). Full carbonation with a cloudy golden yellow pour that leaves a huge light frothy soapy head with sticky lacing. Aroma is lemon citrus and grassy malt and yeast. Taste is more lemon citrus and bitter with a finishing yeast malt flavor. Palate is thin and very fizzy ( like a soda) and leaves a dry finish and wanting more. I havenít had this close to 6 years and am glad I finally picked up a bottle again.

On tap at Proof, poured with a huge frothy head. Sweet aroma, a bit of bitterness through the middle. Interesting.

Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Hazy golden blond with a tall, delicate white head. Aroma is yeasty and floral with fruit notes, soft spice, and an odd herbal note. Taste is initially sweet with strong malt and fruit notes and light candied notes, then transitions to a grassy, dusty yeast, and herbal flavored beer. Some floral hops come through as well. Body is medium with a strong, bubbly carbonation. Dry on the back end as well. Ends with more candy notes, sweet malt, floral hops, grassy notes, and dusty yeast.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2013 (15/03/2011) bottle@Paterís Vaetje: yellow with fluffy/creamy head, served in a nice Lucifer snifter glass, slightly sweet, spicy/dry hops, fruits (bit of apple, minor pears), freshly baked bread, bubblegum, dry ending & overall dry, hint bitter finish, better than Duvel //// Tried an aged 75 of this one, bit more straightforward & touch less invigorating than I remember, still solid, prefer Duvel these days over this one

Cloudy hazy golden color with a thick very longlasting head. Little aroma and very metallic taste.

Bottle, 33cl. Pours a crystal clear, golden colour with a magnificent foamy, white, Belgian head. Great lacing, the head really saves the appearance, the colour is macro-yellow. Aroma is nice and yeasty, hinting lots of sweet malts and spices. Taste seems heavy at first, but isnít really complex at all. Basement flavours and not much all. Palate is poor as well, some light bitterness that ends up seeming just a touch artificial. Disappointing.

Stephen Richís bottle. An enormous white foamy head on golden body. Fresh yeasty aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, and good drinkability, creamy even. Good hops, this is a winner for pale Belgians. Het Anker does this one good.

Dark yellow and unclear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is sweet and malty, fruity notes too. Meat, faint. Flavor starts heavy sweet, finish light bitter. Creamy texture.
