ClubGonzo (3509) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 28, 2010
Pours a clear, light and golden body with a medium white top. Smell is sharp, yeasty hop notes with some grassy, floral hints. Taste is almond essence and boozy notes with hints of molasses, Belgian style. Despite the fiery name, this is a very bland run-of-the-mill kinda blonde. A prominent mythic character like Lucifer deserves better than this.

Bottle 0,33ltr: A bit overly sweet Duvel-like, but you get an over the top sweet bitter aftertaste.

Blond, average body, somewhat sparkling. Small white head. Cereal, grass, freshness of mandarin. Bitter-dry aftertaste. Tasty beer that’s easy to drink. (Bottle 33cl, 2,00 eur)

Countbeer (4031) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - JUL 5, 2010
Draft @ OBM: Small quick disappearing white foamy head. Yellow golden color. Smell is hoppy and fruity with hints of alcohol and malts. Taste is light, though 8% alcohol is not to be found on your tongue. Taste more special, like a heavier pilsner, bit more alcohol and also some alcohol and spices that spice this beer up a bit.

Hazy golden. White head. Aroma is from glue and citrus. Flavor is like dishwater, citric and perfume. Yeaks!! Syntetic!

Pours blueish pale, which is essentially saying it was orange. It has quite flagrancy: single-numbered Alpha-acid hops, graham flour, and some zest. Its tastes creep up on you unassumingly... there’s a lot more of this interesting graininess sweeping you off your feet as you swish it around in your mouth, then swallow. I think this is a great beer for shuteye and television-surfing.

Bottle at the Hopdevil in Zagreb
Poured a murky dark yellow-golden body. Soft, nice chalky orangey nose with some light notes of banana showing up. Better than expected. The taste is quite a bit different though. It remains soft, and the mouthfeel is very nice. The taste is, however, crackery and slightly bready, slightly sweet and yoghurty, with a very light bitter note near the end. Quite balanced. Not the tastiest beer around but a very good beer for its’ style.

FlacoAlto (3737) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 15, 2010
Sampled on tap, April 2010 @ Brasserie Beck, Washington DC
A blonde colored beer, the aroma is somewhat fruity, with a light herbal component, some menthol hop touches, honey-like malt sweetness underneath which are some biscuit aromatics, but really more cracker-like grain notes.

The flavor has a big straw-grain component that leads into a cracker and pale-biscuit flavor. Honey-like malt character adds a sweetness to the brew. This actually has a really nice malt character to it, but the hops are quite noticeable at this point too; hints of mint and light lemon round out the hop flavors. This is light textured, as expected, but nicely quaffable and of course way to drinkable for the style.

This is quite enjoyable and it drinks like a big, lower alcohol brew, by which I mean at 8% it is dangerously drinkable.

On tap @ Nelson Strasbourg. Pours a golden beer almost without head. It tastes bitter and pungent taste, bit disappointed, body medium and dry finish.

Pours murky blonde with an enormous white foamy head that grew annoyingly large even when poured very gently. Nose is quite sweet with fruitiness and a little belgian yeast to it. Flavor isn’t all that interesting....very standard belgian strong ale maltiness with the hints of citrus, alcohol, and subdued hoppiness usually found in the style. Leaves a sugary taste and feeling in your mouth...almost like after drinking soda. I expected much more from something named "Lucifer".
