2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tastes a lot like Duvel if it had a harsh alcholic kick to it, not really that good compared to other Belgian ales.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Hazy pale yellow color. Thick foamy head. Flavor is initially very fruity and lively, middle is mellow bread and yeast, fades into a candi sugar mild hop finish. Sweet and lively on the palate. Lots of residual sugars. Quite tasty.

Pours a hazy lemon orange with thick frothy, egg white head. Aroma is a bit metallic with tart lemon citrus notes. Flavor is a bit metallic with citrus and a harsh alcoholic sugar flavor. Body is light with active carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy straw colour. Had on tap at Dario’s Brasserie in Omaha, Nebraska. White, 2 fingered pillowy head with excellent lacing. Aroma of bread and biscuits. Medium, smooth body and it hides its 8% ABV very well. Easy drinking and a lovely medium-bodied brew for cold nights or summer patios. One of my preferred belgian brews.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
clear yellow, large white head.
dry dusty aroma, tight yellow fruity note like dry champaigne. not very strong aroma.
flavor is quite typically belgian, actually i think i recognize het anker (yeast perhaps), mild sweet malty, faint cellary, flowery (sweet flowery) notes , very faint citrussy note. not much , if any hop bitterness or hop flavor. Overall an easy drinking belgian with a tightly sweet and dry profile.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Het Anker Lucifer
On draught at Refuge in San Carlos. Pours hazy with a unique yellow-grey color. Massive head lingers and leaves great lacing. Spice and slight esters on the nose. Well balanced with malt and a little spice. Chewy yeast with sweetness lingering. The 8% alcohol is deceptive, as I don’t get a lot out of this beer.
