3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jeffs515 (103) - Ogden, Utah, USA - JUN 29, 2012The aroma is a strong sour Belgian ale with yeast and a little citrus. Pours a hazy yellow with lots of carbonation and thick frithy white foam that lasts and leaves some lacing. Taste is very bitter sour hints of apple citrus sweet leaves a bit of fruitiness on the palate. Very strong alcohol in the end. Overall not bad for a Belgian ale.

Tall boy at beir Barron (old brickskeller).
Pours yellowy haze with a thick, tall, prominent fluffy just off white head. Aroma is sweet, doughy yeastness. Flavor isn’t too terribly far off. A little spice. Would be a very nice introduction to ’different’ beers for a novice.

Can at the bar of soap. Pours yellow with an inch of white foam. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Sort of a fruity, estery thing on the nose. Nice and bready on the tongue if not a bit oily. Has a weird grainy thing on the finish. Not bad for the money.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sperine (193) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Bottle. A very serviceable strong ale, but nothing mindblowing. Flavor was a little light for my tastes.

Nice beer, bitterness that is not too much, not a top beer, but certainly more than average!
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 gschrade (66) - Collinsville, USA - MAY 24, 2013
I had this at Global Brew. I thought this was pretty good, like most Belgian Strongs very flavorful. I would definitely drink this again.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Fatehunter (794) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - MAY 14, 2013
Poured two fingers of head on a cloudy, medium straw colored body.
The aroma was of dry grain and alcohol. Not great.
The nice was mild apple and pear with a mild bitterness. Smooth and mellow.
The texture was crisp with moderate carbonation.
An easy drinking beer, by no means the best or worst.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PriorL (309) - BELGIUM - MAY 11, 2013
75cl bottle. Aged for 2 years.
Appearance: clouded blonde beer, unstable white head.
Nose: grains, caramel, oxidated, Saccharomyces cerevisiae (yeast used by backers), over aged hops.
Taste: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, caramel, oxidated, yeast, too much carbonation in the mouth.
Shouldn’t have been cellared, i’ll try a fresh one asap.

Overall good beer on tap at Daily Pint, caramel, bread, coffee, but smooth and crisp, yum.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Hopswagger (36) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 6, 2013
P: Clear golden yellow with a swampy white head that swirls around the edge of the glass.
S: Tropical fruits, cinnamon and bubblegum.
T/M: Cinnamon candy, bubblegum, coriander, tropical fruit, hints of bitter green bananas. Spice profile is aggressive and compliments the fruit well. Zesty vivacious body in a moderate body. Finish is wet but progressively dry and lingers fruit (guava and orange peel) sprinkled with ground pippali pepper.
O: A solid beer that delivers complexity and a great spice profile. It’s easy drinking for an 8% beer. Highly recommend it.
