3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 19, 2012 Bottle. The pour was a hazy golden yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) white frothy head that reduced slowly, down to a heavy film with a large collar which possessed some excellent sheets of lacing.
The aroma was of a funky barnyard Belgian yeast and a light grain malt with notes of honey, citrus (lemon), toffee, a mild fruitiness and a slight alcohol scent.
The taste was lightly sweet with a malty citrus note in the beginning, and then became very yeasty and a bit sour with a hint of green apple and a slight peppery alcohol tinge towards the end. The flavor lasted an average duration following the swallow, with a nice mild fruity funky yeast taste left behind.
Mouthfeel was light in body and creamy in texture with a mild carbonation.
Overall a very good Belgian Ale with a nice fruity citrus presence, that along with a good mix of yeast and alcohol helped make sure that no one flavor was so overpowering that it overshadowed any other. This brew was very tasty and rather refreshing for a beer that has such a high ABV…

Poured light golden with a healthy white head. Aroma is muted zesty, sweet fruit and caramel malt. Medium body, flavour is much as the aroma.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: Fresh bread with faint yeast aromas. Hints of citrus fruits.
Appearance: Sparkling pale straw color.
Taste: Light sweetness with medium sourness.
Palate: Light body, average carbonation, sticky texture, faint lingering finish.
Overall: Seems underdeveloped and thin. Considering the price, I’m a bit disappointed.

Average. In every way. All the tasting notes are there but nothing calls itself out to makes this special. Overall too subdued. And my bottle has an off putting aroma. B-/C+

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2013 Picked up a can for 1$. Pours a hazy gold, big white head, leaves nice lacing. Smell is banana and clove, some base malt underneath as well as subtle flowers. Flavor is nice, has a bit of metal, lots of clean maltiness, hint of alcohol but not too much, some phenols, lighter fruitiness, medium sweetness with a bit of drynes sin the finish. A lesser brew form this producer but still very nice and was worth the buck, bought the last 3 cans at that price.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, Kris Wines. Light golden colour, deeper than Duvel but still light. High carbonation and monster head, with that classic middle of glass sparkle. Really impressive fruity aroma, pears and indefinable spice, noble hops and Belgian yeast. Taste not quite following, not having the impossible lightness of some, but still very drinkable and moreish at its strength.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mousse généreuse et onctueuse. Bière blonde. Entrée de bouche puissante, forte présence d’alcool. Fin de bouche sèche. Persistance moyenne. Bulles fines et bonne amertume (bien dosée). Bière agréable mais pas trop démoniaque comme son nom pourrait le suggérer.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma : Profumo Fruttato, con presenza percepibile di Cedro.
Aspetto: Birra di colore giallo acceso, quasi torpido. Bella la schiuma bianca, persistente e corposa.
Sapore: Birra molto dolce, pochi richiami aciduli veramente lievemente percepibili
Palato: Corpo medio, Incredibile carattere molto secco. Il finale è astringente, e si avverte la luppolatura. L’alcool si fa sentire, anche se la birra è molto ben bilanciata.
In definitiva, una ottima birra da meditazione. Da provare, e da apprezzare. Non una cattiva birra, assolutamente.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2013 Hazy golden yellow color, big white head, fizzy, nice lacing; nose at first very fruity, orange, followed by mellow honey and bread, yeasty, spicy notes, citrus; taste dry, sweet taste with mild citrus flavors; medium body, lively carbonation makes it sharp on the tongue; long medium bitter finish.
