3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
6 July 2012, bottle at cagarvie's legendary tasting. Yellow, clear, no bubbles. Nose is lots of honey, caramel. Med body and faintly fizzy. Lots of honey, caramel. Not that nice. Lots of sugar, nothing to balance, nothing exciting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In bottle. Pours a light golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of lemon, grassy hops, yeast, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Lingering lemon and candy sugar. Nicely bitter.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a nice amber orange with a big thick white head that doesn’t move, it certainly looks the part. Aroma is a tad thin, a little dusty, caramel comes through, some zest, light spicy pepperiness. Taste is very spicy, bit like a Belgian, very peppery, lots of deep caramel and a slight nuttiness. Fairly sweet with a long but well measured bitter finish. It’s very nice but not really my style

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50cl bottle. Pours cloudy orangey-brown with a generous head. The nose has salt, nuts and touch of cream. The taste has more salt and wheat with a nutty finish. The palate has more the texture and body of a Belgian Dubbel - very tangy and yeast dominated. There is also good hop bitterness. Overall, not sure this is a bitter but it is a good beer.
