Bottle at home. It pours deep brown with a small white head. The nose is roasty, dull smoke, earth, cola and candy. The taste is bitter-sweet, light roast, toast, toffee, cola, candy, aniseed, raisin, dark fruit and a touch of spice with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Good balance. Decent.

[500ml bottle, The Beer Hive, Edinburgh][bottle #339] Pours fairly hazy deep reddish brown (although I let the sediment flow into the glass in a moment of weakness). Thin lacing around half the glass, rising streams of bubbles breaking the surface. The aroma is sweet and caramel-esque, touch of rum&raisin about it. Plenty of toffee. Sweet toffee on the flavour, it tastes almost exactly like those small cubes of the stuff you get in some toffee ice-creams. Finish is spritzy and maybe a little thin, otherwise, another solid Luckie sweet, old-fashioned, malty number 06052013]
