Bottle from Cornelius. Pours a golden amber colour with a fair beige head. Aroma of apples, caramel and yeast. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Quite dry to finish.

[500ml bottle from the Beer Hive, Edinburgh] Pours a nice dark nut brown, with a large white head, which retains pretty well. Earthy malt aroma, dark caramel and toffee. Toffee-ish on the flavour, but the aftertaste is deeper and slightly acrid on the palate. Great balance of this bitter edge and the sweet malt. Very pleasing bitter [03082012]
