1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Silly bottle, I had to buy it.
It pours a pale honey gold with a fizzy white head, actually looks good for an adjunct lager.
The smell is light and citrusy, again, suprising.
The taste is awful, it tastes like rotten food with some sake and mineral water for good measure.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
[330ml bottle, gift from my wife] My wife bought this for me because the bottle amused her - to me it looked less like a buddha & more like a mutant bogey! Neither she nor I expected much of the beer inside. It poured pale gold, with a thin white head, and thin prickly carbonation. It’s very, very watery indeed, yet manages to retain a reasonable floral and grass aroma and flavour, with slight citrus hints. It’s quite refreshing actually - I’ve had far worse lagers, and it’s better than the bottle suggests.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled (BZ; BB 12/2010)
Pale yellow color, decent white head. Cardboardish aroma with notes of wet hops or grass. Fizzy carbonation. Harsh and a bit malty. Light bitterness. Watery. Suprisingly closer to Western bulk lager than Chinese/Asian corn/maize stuff. The best part of this is its pretty bottle.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Lucky, as in Lucky you only have to try it once to realise its a nothing lager. no real taste to it, hard to distinguish from standard mass swill thats on most taps. only plus is the interesting bottle.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pale orange, an inch of dense white head. High bead. Aroma of light honey, orange blossoms and grass. Watery body. Gentle sweetness with no bitterness but a slightly drying finish. Has that rice note you get with Asian lagers. This is pretty fresh and much better than I imagined - what malt there is is fairly clean; the hop aroma has no trace of skunk; it’s not very sweet; and it’s not dominated by rice (or corn).

Ok, so the bottle is a novelty but I figured I would give it a try. Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours a litle golden slightly hazy color with minimal head. Not a whole lot of smell to it really. Really light taste without any bite at all. Very much a domestic BMC taste to it
Yeah its drinkable but really no different than drinking a BMC.
Jeez, I hope I didn’t spend too much money buying this one.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sweet Buddha bottle thanks to Amelia! Poured clear straw golden with a tall initial cap of white head.. settled rather quickly.. +1 for the bottle shape, -1 for the green glass and the fact that it looked like most other pale lagers. The aroma picked up sweet corn and skunk-like notes, backed by a little honey.. sort of decent, and the skunk wasn’t that offensive. The flavor found more of the honey and other pale malts at the core.. a little bit of cardboard and skunk also made an appearance.. fizzled off the finish rather abruptly, leaving a pinch of honey laced with cardboard. Light-bodied with sharp, fizzy carbonation on the palate.. didn’t flow too smoothly due to the carbo.. not a whole lotta good here, but it was drinkable.
