I like it man. How can that guy compare it to Fosters? Tastes like an American pale ale. Fosters tastes of absolutely nothing!

12 oz. Buddha shaped bottle. I bought this at Samís Wine & Spirits across from Goose Island Brewpub in Chicago. Purchased only for the ornamental bottle to add to my collection. Letís just say I didnít have high hopes, but hey, itís another rate! Poured into Sam Adams Lager Glass. Pale yellow, very clear. Fizzy bright white head. Havenít used Sam Adamís genius glass invention lately, so Iím not sure if the huge amount of bubbles rising up is from their nucleation design, or from this highly carbonated pale lager. Aroma, skunky. Urine, straw, biscuit touch of sweetness, and a tiny tiny bit of Saaz (honey?)Yuck, reminds me of Fosterís, which is currently the only beer I refuse to drink again (unless MAYBE, just MAYBE I try it draft for one more shot at redemption). Flavor: boring, slight malt, little to no hop. Fizzy and light. Blah, blah, blah. Not so lucky after all.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Faint soapy spruce aroma from the Saaz, but mostly fizz and cereal. Uneven head, bright gold with plenty of lace. Actually some OK-ish hop notes, lemon, straw, rusty tuna tin, rice, biscuit. And there just arenít enough bottles shaped like buddhas.

Very thin, watery beer with very little tatse or flavour. Pours with no head and a golden amber colour. Very skunky.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a dismal very light flat golden with a pathetic small bubbly head, if not for the sweet bottle it would get a 1 on appearance. Sweeter lager aroma with some grass and malty honey. Odd flavor, sweeter bready malts and light metallic hops with a touch of honey in the finish. Lighter bodied with a medium mouthful.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from utobeer, as a tribute to the legend of lucky *o**ie himself! The bottle fits the discription nicly. Alround its a rubbish pale lager, skunky hop, metallic and herbal.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Why? Why not? Bottle from Sun Devil in Mesa, AZ. It is a cool bottle. Brassy gold color with a firm white head. Typical pale lager aromas. Near medium body with feisty carbonation. It’s crisp and clean, suggestion of citrus in the finish. A good choice when you want this sort of thing.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
20-May-08 (11.16-oz bottle, Best by 15-Feb-08: Purchased 12-May-08 for $3.99 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Standard pale lager aromas of grain, cheese and adjuncts, but it’s not sweet-smelling, which is a plus. Adjuncty flavor also shows some graininess and light lemony sourness to partially break up the onslaught of adjuncts. Slight bitterness and flavor imparted by a touch of hops, but the finish is further marred by modest cardboard. Light in body, medium in carbonation, stale and tiring on the palate. Straw-yellow color but somewhat hazy, and with the large carbonation bubbles jetting upward toward the short-lived fizzy, white head, this isn’t an attractive beer in the glass. Overall, this is just bad beer in a fancy bottle at a ridiculously expensive price, but that’s marketing for ya’. And now that I’ve purchased it once and have the fancy Buddha bottle, I won’t ever need or want to buy this again.
