2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle: pours a lush gold color, small white cap, moderate carbonation. Aroma is very light but there are hints of boiled cereals, some fruityness. Thin mouthfeel, light body, clean and uneventful. Flavor is mild with some graininess and a hint of hops, apple and sweetness, fast clean thin finish. Might pair well with spicy Tai foods but I really bought it for the bottle.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 2/20
UPDATED: AUG 22, 2012 Aroma: malts and grain. Appearance: a clear yellow pour with a quickly diminishing foamy white head and fair lacing. Taste: grainy, biscuity with a chalky overriding flavor. Pallet: medium with moderate carbonation. Overall: not as bad as I feared but still not Australia’s best I’m sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle- Pours a pale yellow color with a decent head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma is musty with some malt sweetness and grain. Pretty bland taste with mild sweetness and coarse grain. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Light body, almost watery. Crisp with a coarse texture. Not a lot here.Best served cold on a hot day. Basic lager. Best thing is the bottle it comes in.

330 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits (Halifax). Pours a hazy dull gold with smallish white head. Aroma is somewhat skunky grains with a little citrus. Flavour is harsh grains with a bit of lemon. Lightish body. Neat bottle with mediocre contents.

The bottle is the part of this beer. Buy one if only to add a bottle to your bar shelf.

Bottle. A nice one at that. Pale yellow no head. Slight metalic aroma. Fizzy. Tastes metalic with a hint of citrus. Not very nice at all.

I bought this purely because of the bottle and it’s safe to say the bottle is the best thing about this beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A wonderful bottle gives you high hopes. Lucky Beer has strong competition in China (Tsingtao, Sun Lik to name a few) and serves up a pleasant drink that would go great with spicy Chinese food. Very easy to drink, and light on the stomach (gas wise).
