Poured from a bottle. Pours a clear bright straw yellow with a thin white ring. Light carbonation with some lacing. Aroma is faint with notes of tart citrus. Very weak and watery. Tastes like drinking water with a twist of lemon. Very ordinary and disappointing. Not sure how this is even considered a beer? Nice bottle, horrible beer!

330ml green buddha-shaped bottle as ’Lucky Buddha’, 4.8%, BB July 2016, brewed in China. Drunk in the sun after a day’s graft on the allotment. Aroma is plain, malt sugar, touch metallic. Body is smooth, slightly foamy, soft carbonation. Taste is crackers, rice, seeded bread, metallic finish. Not a bad pale lager overall.

Aroma - honeyed malt Appearance - the body is a clean pale yellow. The white head is very small, and settles into a film. Taste - light honeyed malt. The hops are very light and slightly floral. There is menthol like quality to the beer. Palate - light body, average carbonation, menthol like quality.

Pour is a bland yellow with a dish-soap looking thin wispy head that vanishes. Taste is pure skunked grain. Damn imported beer gets all skunky. I hate that. So, it’s probably better fresh. The bottle is cool though

Weak aroma. Clear yellow, little foam but not much. Taste is surprisingly good considering the poor aroma. Medium sweet and some umami taste.

Smells like bad lager. Taste is rather sweet and hint of hops is there. Pale yellow with thin lacing.

Poured from 11.2 oz bottle into pilsner glass. Appearance: pours a 1" white head that drops moderately with some light lacing. Color is somewhat cloudy light gold with moderate streaming carbonation. Aroma: yeasty white bread, a bit of grassy hops. Mouthfeel: light and watery, with a damp finish. Flavor: mild barley sweetness, a bit of paperiness, some grassy hops, and sour tang that borders on the edge of unpleasant. Overall: ok, but just not much going on here. The body is light and flavor profile is as well.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2016 BJCP CATEGORY 2A INTERNATIONAL PALE LAGER

AROMA: Very skunky (green bottle). Some spicy hops? Corn syrup? Light candy sweetness. Not bad if you can get past the skunk. 6/12

APPEARANCE: Clear pale gold. Bubbly. White soap suds. Some lacing. 3/3

FLAVOR: Surprisingly sweet. Skunk not present in palette. Some corn syrup flavor. Very faint spicy hops, but other malt-forward. Fairly clean overall. No metallic or dirty sensation. Not bad. 13/20

MOUTHFEEL: A bit thick and undercarbonated. Not as crisp as expected. Clean finish. Smooth. 3/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: One of the better beers of this style I’ve had, actually. 7/10

TOTAL SCORE: 32/50
