Comes in a green Buddha shaped bottle. Pours a clear yellow with the usual bitter lager flavor. Very cold and good with Chinese food at The China Cottage. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Transparent pale golden body with a quarter inch of white head. Rapidly ascending effervescence. Aromas of adjuncts, corn, yeast. Maybe it’s me, but I’m not getting the nirvana supposedly found in this beverage. Maybe it’s at the bottom of the glass. I don’t think I have the willpower to drink that much.

Transfer from BA review on 4-27-14- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a medium golden color with a one finger head of white foam and tons of big carbonation bubbles seen streaming up through the brew. The head has a very low level of retention, fading fast to leave almost no lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is very light with just a hint of a corn like sweetness as well some rice and a bit of grass. Taste – The taste begins with a light corn sweetness mixed with some rice and a little bit of bread. Upfront there is also some light hay tastes as well as a faint grass flavor. As the taste advances the grass and hay fade all while the corn grows even more potent and sweet. In the end a sweet but moderately smooth flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is a bit on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Bother are fantastic for the lighter and sweeter corn flavors of the beer making for a more refreshing feel. Overall – Sort of standard run-of-the mill American lager. Cool bottle but not quite as cool contents. Just decent.

This beer is refreshing. So is water. It has a nice deceiving golden white robe, a nice thick neck that lasts. There where it ends. It's unfortunately insipid and tasteless. Coors light lovers, this is the import for you. :) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Slightly sour barley malt and straw aroma. Medium yellow with nice head. Lightly sweet barley malt, cardboard, and dry grass flavor. Not horrendous.

Had this at the 2014 RB Pittsburgh Summer Gathering at Horny Devel’s place. Actually it was after the equinox at the beginning of fall, but DILLIGAF. Big thanks to James & Michelle for hosting such a nice spread of quality beers. Smell is sort of lemony at first., just slightly. Nice bottle, normally would give this beer a 2 but bottle makes it a 3. Some mild co2 in there at first. Very mils and easy going flavors. No ill effects on this brew. Much better than expected. Overall, a decent brew considering the marketing gimmick, especially since it came from chine, heheh.

Bottle shared by cheap. Thanks! Awesome looking bottle. Kinda bland beer. Super pale clear yellow pour. White head. Grape skin aroma. Pretty inoffensive taste. Soft palate. Not terrible not a standout.

Perfect example of a product using clever packaging to sell itself. If not for the Buddha shaped bottle, this I suspect would not sell near as well as it does. That being said, it’s not a bad beer, but its’ lack of kick and flavour makes it forgettable, despite the pretty bottle... It is very smooth though and doesn’t leave any ill-desired after taste.

Smells skunked..sorta reminds me of a yuengling, moosehead, kind of beer. First sip is strong but halfway thru seemed to get a little flat and lost its taste. To be honest i only bought this for the bottle.

Serving: Buddha bottle. Of all the gimmicks I’ve seen, this one is actually pretty good. I mean, who doesn’t want to have a beer that looks like Buddha! Pours a straw color with a short lived fizzy head. This thing reeks of skunked brew. Like a 10 year old Heineken that someone left in their trunk. The flavor is all skunk with a slightly vegetal bitterness on the back end. Dreadful beer. Cool bottle though.
