What an interesting bottle, I knew the wife would like it. Pours a clear golden with medium head. Aroma was skunked. Flavor was skunked. I guess that bottle was not so good after all. Keeping it though.

Bottle. Dull gold with a white head. Aromas are grain and sour lemon with metal notes. Flavorus are biscuit and grain with a buttery palate. Dry on the finish.

20-May-08 (11.16-oz bottle, Best by 15-Feb-08: Purchased 12-May-08 for $3.99 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Standard pale lager aromas of grain, cheese and adjuncts, but it’s not sweet-smelling, which is a plus. Adjuncty flavor also shows some graininess and light lemony sourness to partially break up the onslaught of adjuncts. Slight bitterness and flavor imparted by a touch of hops, but the finish is further marred by modest cardboard. Light in body, medium in carbonation, stale and tiring on the palate. Straw-yellow color but somewhat hazy, and with the large carbonation bubbles jetting upward toward the short-lived fizzy, white head, this isn’t an attractive beer in the glass. Overall, this is just bad beer in a fancy bottle at a ridiculously expensive price, but that’s marketing for ya’. And now that I’ve purchased it once and have the fancy Buddha bottle, I won’t ever need or want to buy this again.

[1356-20080517] 11.16floz Buddha bottle. Smells like a kangaroo pouch was hosting a skunk for a while. Slightly hazy, light yellow body with quick white bubbles. Sweet skunky grain flavour. Light body is grainy and watery. Poor.

...bottle. Well, for such a cool bottle, it was a dissapointment. Typical ricey, bland, no flavor lager. Weak, light yellow color, and almost no head. Same for the flavor, almost none, other than slight cardboard hints in the finish. Slightly sweet cardboard, so I guess it could be worse, but I will never buy this over-priced shit again.
