COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Certified Evil is an undomesticated beast. A dark, ominous and oak aged creation, its aggressive hops battle its massive malt profile, flavor assaulting all those who bear witness.
Malt beverage brewed with brown sugar, raisin juice, molasses, cardamom and orange peel and aged in wine casks.
The new Certified Evil recipe is more complex and interesting than the brew from 2008. This new beer blends Certified Evil aged in Cabernet barrels for one year with a younger batch of oaked aged Certified Evil. The combination makes for a vibrant yet smooth and elegant taste. The recipe also includes a wide variety of complex sugars including turbinado sugar, molasses and honey. The result is an amazingly complex beer. Truly a must try to any craft beer lover.

Dark brown with a large brown head that takes awhile to evaporate. Aroma of roasted sweet malt, light chocolate, dark fruit and a bit of earthiness. Taste is earthy and sour with herbal notes, strange spice (cardamom?), mild oak and a chalky finish.

12oz. bottle. Aroma of roasty, black malts, mildly sweet and faintly tart with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, orange peel and tinges of the wine barrel as well, with faint oak, red grape, black cherry and a touch of fall spice in the background. Solid-looking opaque black in color, with a lasting, creamy, tan head and spots of lace. Flavor profile is darkly sweet, fruity, mildly winey and full of chocolate, with suggestions of smoke, wood, raisin, faintly spicy hop flavors and some mild bitterness and alcohol appearing towards the finish. Mouthfeel is smoothly effervescent, warming and semi-dry, with a properly full body. Rather nice. Doesn’t seem evil...

Bottle shared by Bunker. Pours a dark cola brown with a small beige head. The aroma had roasted malts, caramel, berry, raisins, cab barrel influences, with a mild musty note. The flavor is heavier with the cab barrel, wood, dark fruits, caramel, molasses and raisins. Good, not great.
