COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucky Bucket’s Original American IPA begins with a nice malt bill that lets the brew stand up to the mountain of hops added later. After the boil, the hot wort (the beer before it’s really beer) is fired through a hop back, a unique four-barrel stainless steel tank filled with a gratuitous amount of raw flower Amarillo, Centennial, and Cascade hops, extracting the aromatic oils and flavor of the hops. Followed with additional dry hopping in the fermenter, the end result is a big, well-balanced West Coast-style IPA with terrific hop flavor and aroma.

355ml bottle (thanks Anna’s cool dad). Clear dark amber color. Huge size, beige head, stays. Looks nice. Pine needles, fruity, citrusy, spurce in aroma. Pine needles, sweet, grainy, fruity, citrusy taste. Fruity pine in aftertaste. Nice and mellow. Medium bitterness. Good balance and very drinkable. Very nice brew.

355ml bottle (Beertopia, Nebraska) - thanks Frank!
Massively sharp lemony citrus aroma. Some pine needles and spruciness later. Sweet caramelly malts. Lots of pine needles, tons of citrus, and some sherbert in the taste, alas some floor-cleaner aspects to those hops too. Some soapiness in the finish, and more pine. Nice full palate, pleasant carbonation. Fairly solid IPA, but a little soapy and a little sweet.

Nocturne (1203) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2015
Tap at Q-Brick, Osaka. Amber shade with a short head. Floral hop aroma. First impression of the taste is a more maltier, English-style take on the IPA. Caramelly, earthy, jammy hop fruitiness. Finishes malt sticky and moderately bitter. Nice enough.

On tap at Watering Hole. Served in a shaker pint. Hazy amber color with a slight head. Big pine needle and citrus hops on the nose with aromas of toffee and caramel as well. Taste is more of the same although really well-balanced. Full-bodied with a slightly rich and creamy mouthfeel. A touch of caramel goodness on the palate with a nice dry hoppy finish. Solid IPA.

Over carbonated. Nice floral flavors. Well hopped with good malt backbone and very little bitterness. Enjoyable but it has to sit a while ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a really nice amber with off-white, slightly greenish head (my imagination? coloring from hops). Aromas are nice piney and citrusy hop aromas, pretzels, breadiness. A little low carbonation-wise, but a nice mouthfeel, smooth, hop-forward but not overbearingly so. Quite nicely balanced and a good all-round IPA.

Pours cloudy amber with small tan head out of bottle. Aroma similar to sculpin with a wide variety of hops. Taste like they added too much hops and not enough grain. Good flavor overall but they needed a little more flavor beyond hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
