2.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy burnt orange, 2 finger head. Nose is fecal matter / baby diaper. Hint of oranges. Very high bitterness in the taste, very piney, resinous. Hint of tangerine peels. Interesting but not all that great.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2013 Received from beer of the month club. Burnt orange with nice lasting head. Strong aroma of citrus and other hops. First few sips, i found the beer to be well balanced with significant dry hopped citrus flavor. A few sips later the strong bitterness flavor came through. Overall, very impressed. Represents west coast IPA’s well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Dirty amber, large rocky white head, splotchy lacing. Big sweet ruby red grapefruity citursy nose. A bit candyish. Sweet citrusy hops up front, not too bitter, with a bit of candyish powdered sugar background. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Pithy background, citrusy, ruby red grapefruit, candyish, powdered sugar all on the exit. I could do without that powdered sugar as it seems too candyish, but otherwise this was a very citrusy and not too bitter IPA. I can certainly dig it!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle $1.69. Bright orange color, sticky lace and a fluffy head. Smells slightly hoppy, nothing overwhelming. Flavor definitely has a lot of hops but it’s almost all bitterness. I was really surprised by how bitter this was but I liked it. Still, I would have preferred a little more diversity in the hop flavors.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ Brad’s house. Pours a dark golden orange appearance with an off white head. Herbal, grapefruity, fairly floral, citrusy nose. A bit tangy, light woody, grapefruity, quite herbal hoppy, somewhat toasty malty flavor. Pretty decent.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle, thanks to Jay. Hazy amber - orange color. Bigger, foamy white head, leaves a good thick amount of rows and reaches of lace. Big orange and grapefruit resiny citrus - peel hop flavor. Sort of sweet taste, some light bite. Soft , lighter carbonation. Medium body. Good resiny pine aftertaste. Satisfying IPA, and especially flavorful for the ABV. Caramel malts. Enjoyable IPA, but not the most balanced.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2014 Tap at the Aldgate. Golden amber colour, small gold head. Aroma, lots of bitter hops, citrus, ultra grapefruit. Taste very bitter, lots of grapefruit, something stronger even. Bit of biscuit malt but citrus dominated. Full on. Ok, but nothing really stood out for me. Second time, October 2014, same but with minerals, tropical fruit, much better. Sherbert. What went wrong last time?
