12 oz bottle pours amber with a off white head. Aroma is malt, spice and a hint of sweetness. Taste is pretty much the same. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not one of Lucky Bucket’s more popular beers. I can see why. Malt flavors are okay but they could be smoother. Carbonation is the main problem. It’s far too harsh. Maybe Lucky Bucket should stick with IPA’s...

Bottle: Amber/chestnut pour with a small bubbly ring of eggshell head. Nose is malty, lightly toasted nuts. Semi-earthy. Taste is sweeter, that of lager malts. Light toast and faint florals. The initial impression is that of deep dark flavors from the roast and toast, but then it gets a little watery feeling. Letdown...

Bottle pours clear light burnt orange with golden edges, very minimal off white fizz. Sweet earthy grainy aroma of toffee and toasted bread. The flavor follows closely with a hint of fruits, Apple and maybe crisp pear. Crisp mostly clean finish make it actually a pretty good American interpretation, decent flavor very easy drinking.

Tap @ Old Chicago’s Lincoln Haymarket. Pours a rust orange appearance with a thin off white head. Toasted malty, toffee, caramel, apple aroma. Somewhat buttery, caramel, butterscotch, herbal, sweet malty flavor. Fairly thick diacetyl. Second Nebraska lager in a row with butter. Fuck.

Bottle. Pours a reddish orange color with white head. Caramel, grainy, earthy aromas. Caramel, malty, cereal, slight tangy flavors. Not too great.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle. Clear copper amber pour with basically no head. Aroma is caramel malt with a bit of earthiness. Palate is lighter and clean. Taste is malty but a bit stale. Not great.

Ar: A touch of caramel, and a hint acidic. Ap: Deep amber-orange, clear - medium white head with good retention and a thin cap of lacing. T: Lots of green apple, acrid sourness - can’t taste much else because of the prominence of those flavors. P: Medium-light body, medium-high carbonation - finish is dry. O: Looks like something went wrong with the brewing here.

My first out and out miss from Lucky Bucket. Caramel orange, smooth, dense head. Bready, toasty, caramel aroma. So far, so good. Flavor is caramel and bread, then some unwelcome stale notes and butter. Lots of butter as it warms. Ugh. Will try again, I guess, if I can find it. On Tap, Sunspot.

Bottle. Light orange-amber color. What I am about to say is meant as a great compliment. This beer reminds me of the old Miller Lowenbrau. It was my favorite beer when I was a young man and I really miss it.
