2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ThreeCats (297) - ISRAEL - FEB 7, 2013
hazy honey color with a small dense head. Aroma of sour grapes or apples, some yeast, some malt. Taste of light caramel with a very pronounced tart "twang". Bitter-sour palate. I like sour beers, so I got along well with this one, but I think it might be spoiled a bit. Or at least if the tartness is intentional it’s a unique interpretation of the style.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 beerandbeyond (452) - ISRAEL - FEB 6, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass.
Clear amber-copper color with a quickly gone small white head.
Caramel malt aroma with some rotten apples and faint hops.
Sweetish malt flavors, with low bitterness and slight tartness.
Light-med body, some nice crispness and overall drinkable but far from great.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PorterPounder (4609) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 1, 2013
Trade with Aurelius - thanks!- new state - Nebraska! Bright sparkling medium dark golden pour with a thin white head. Pretty much of a neutral aroma, hints of spent grain and fresh lake water. Solid, crisp lager flavor with some nuttiness, a bit of honey sweetness, some graininess. Crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. Not bad at all.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Aurelius (3443) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 28, 2012
Squat, California 12oz bottle, throwback label. Clear, rusty gold, small sponge-rubber head. Slightly spicy, bocky aroma that leans on the malt. Tangy, malty, a little musty, light toast, a little grassiness, faint vanilla. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, proper carbo. Mineral and lightly bitter finish with toasted bread/biscuits. Lost somewhere inbetween vienna and bock, not bad. BOTM club selection - Thanks, Uncle Doug!

Bottle poured. Pours with a thin white head. Active carbonation after pour keeps a nice white lace on top. Nice hoppy aroma. Color is cloudy orange. I like the full taste of this lager. A really nice flavor that allows a slight nuttiness to come through. A good lager.
-- cheers

Bottled, nice lager with citrus notes. Nothing too exciting or mind blowing, but would be a perfect match with Mexican food.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 1/20 Ungstrup (26194) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 22, 2012
Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons and infection. The flavor is sour with notes of infection and malt, leading to a burning dry finish. Yes, pre-prohibition beers could be infected, but why try to emulate that? silly.
