COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucky Bucket Pre‐Prohibition Lager has an updated craft brewer’s twist as its signature: it’s dry‐hopped with a fresh blend of aromatic hops. The dry hopping schedule is a unique hop mix that was derived from numerous tests and private samplings. The resulting blend includes aromatic Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo hops.

On tap at Beertopia. Pour is clear amber with a big white head and great lacing. Cereal, grainy, bready, corny, grassy aroma. Taste is plain lager, light grassy, bread, biscuit, cereal, husky, and grainy. Light body with high carbonation. Bleh.

Gold pour, white head. Typical lager flavors with a touch more hops than the macro crap. I detected a very grassy flavor with tropical fruits on the edges.

Pours a deep gold with a small white head (very much like Cream Soda). Aroma is lightly malty with a hint of citrus. Fizzy and light bodied, finished lightly bitter-sweet yet clean. Taste is lightly bitter sweet, crisp. Overall, unimposing and light. A pleasant lager but left me wanting more.

Copper color. Very light nose, some caramel notes. Very weak. Light weak body lacking hops and not so well balanced. Non distinguished and boring.

Bottle - fizzy, clear dark copper - nose of copper, grain husks, light DMS and a mild sourness - not promising so far - prickly acidity up front, followed by some corn, husky grains, light butter, light sourness - metallic finish - terrible.

Dark poor from draft in Omaha. Wheat and grain aroma. Sweet for a lager. Enjoyed it but circumstances were right

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear medium copper with a one finger white head. Fairly good head retention and lacing with the head hanging around for awhile. Aroma of cooked vegetables and some corn. There is really a lot of DMS here and I’m not sure if it is intended or not. Some caramel and grassy hops are buried in the background. The flavor thankfully has less in the way of DMS but does bring along an odd, sour tartness that really detracts from the flavor. Some toffee and bready malt along with hay in the background but again I feel like there are too many off-flavors up front. Pretty watery mouthfeel but that is not out of line with a beer that is only 4.5% Overall, I’m not really impressed. If this was cleaned up a little it could really shine.

Tap @ Lucky Bucket. Pours a clear orangish brown appearance with a thin brown head. Caramel, sweet malty, a bit chewy, burnt bready aroma. A bit grainy, cardboard (not in an oxidized manner), caramel flavor. Kind of strange but ok.

Bottle from Yamaichi. Malty, caramel, very grassy, sour cabbage notes too. Very pretty russet/amber color. Light caramel, some sour tang and roughness in mid, and nice hop tinges in final. Thin body. Okay. Extremely grassy and full of flavor. A lager that goes a bit too far, maybe. The sourness kinds of detracts from the overall experience.
