COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucky Bucket Pre‐Prohibition Lager has an updated craft brewer’s twist as its signature: it’s dry‐hopped with a fresh blend of aromatic hops. The dry hopping schedule is a unique hop mix that was derived from numerous tests and private samplings. The resulting blend includes aromatic Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo hops.

This is the kind of beer you drink hoping for Matt O’Hanlon to make a play. I was expecting something terrible, but instead it was a very middle of the road drinkable beer. Not much flavor, but not offensive either. I would never seek this out, but if someone hands one to you it is acceptable to drink.

Clear orange golden color. Light cereal aroma. Light, balanced palate with a light cereal flavor. Why don’t people like this beer? I think it’s pretty decent.

Pours an orange copper color with little to no aroma. Taste is bland, simple malt flavor. A mild bitter aftertaste that had little to no flavor. A dry beer witha decent drinkability but no complex flavors at all

Darker gold with white head and visible carbonation. Malty nose but I also smell something akin to rotten fruit (very very faint), or could it be a Bret influence?. There is a toasty malt flavor, almost dry flavor upon first taste. It’s almost smokey and a bit odd, although I can appreciate this unique twist. Some citrus/lemon flavor (the hops?). Doesn’t really go together but separate it makes an interesting experience. Given you don’t drink flavors in silo’s I find this a bit of a confusing beer. Upon further tasting, this really does seem to have a bit of a sour Bret side to it. Not sure what to make of that interpretation.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear medium copper with a one finger white head. Fairly good head retention and lacing with the head hanging around for awhile. Aroma of cooked vegetables and some corn. There is really a lot of DMS here and I’m not sure if it is intended or not. Some caramel and grassy hops are buried in the background. The flavor thankfully has less in the way of DMS but does bring along an odd, sour tartness that really detracts from the flavor. Some toffee and bready malt along with hay in the background but again I feel like there are too many off-flavors up front. Pretty watery mouthfeel but that is not out of line with a beer that is only 4.5% Overall, I’m not really impressed. If this was cleaned up a little it could really shine.

Gold w/ white head. Grassy hop aroma. Pretty mediocre pale lager. Nothing too special...although it’s better than any macro. Notes of barley malt, grassy hops and something like black pepper on the finish. It is what it is...a easy drinking clean lager. Ok everyday drinking brew. Won’t buy again though...there are P.L.’s I enjoy more.

Clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is grains with some caramel. I’m not really liking the aroma here. Taste is bread, slight fruitiness, touch of a caramel. Nice balance to the flavor here. Pretty light bodied. Better than I had expected. Thanks atom!

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Clear amber-copper color with a quickly gone small white head. Caramel malt aroma with some rotten apples and faint hops. Sweetish malt flavors, with low bitterness and slight tartness. Light-med body, some nice crispness and overall drinkable but far from great.

A clear golden orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is malt, corn, and grass. The flavor is slightly sweet corn and fruity hops. Very thin body, not a terrible lager.
