COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucky Bucket Pre‐Prohibition Lager has an updated craft brewer’s twist as its signature: it’s dry‐hopped with a fresh blend of aromatic hops. The dry hopping schedule is a unique hop mix that was derived from numerous tests and private samplings. The resulting blend includes aromatic Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo hops.

Thanks jdubfl for the share. Pours clear gold with white head. Nose is bread, corn, sweetness and a tiny amount of hops. Flavor is similar with water, hops, and sweetness. Light bodied and not bad overall.

Darker gold with white head and visible carbonation. Malty nose but I also smell something akin to rotten fruit (very very faint), or could it be a Bret influence?. There is a toasty malt flavor, almost dry flavor upon first taste. It’s almost smokey and a bit odd, although I can appreciate this unique twist. Some citrus/lemon flavor (the hops?). Doesn’t really go together but separate it makes an interesting experience. Given you don’t drink flavors in silo’s I find this a bit of a confusing beer. Upon further tasting, this really does seem to have a bit of a sour Bret side to it. Not sure what to make of that interpretation.

POurs hazy straw with sweet notes of malt that show off very light hints of hops. It drinks smooth and has a flavor from the malt that seems distracting. Better than your mass lagers.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2013 Beer of the month club, pours golden with a nice white head aroma seems sour, like vinegar, fruit and malt, flavor is sour with flavor of cauliflower, this one is probably infected, light bodied, should taste it again[.2.4]

On tap at SPSBF. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a lot of hay and earthy grains with some corn and grass. Flavor has corn and grains with a bit of underlying hay.

hazy honey color with a small dense head. Aroma of sour grapes or apples, some yeast, some malt. Taste of light caramel with a very pronounced tart "twang". Bitter-sour palate. I like sour beers, so I got along well with this one, but I think it might be spoiled a bit. Or at least if the tartness is intentional it’s a unique interpretation of the style.

Found this at an Omaha HyVee. Definitely on the marzen side of lagers. Amber body with hardly any head. Faint aroma. Taste is sweet, slight hops with a little after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured amber, no carbonation and no foam. Not really usual golden as other premium lagers have, but well, I guess lagers are still different. Aroma had some caramel and brisk malty grain character. Quite subtle. Taste caramelly, sort of what I could already understand from the colour. Otherwise quite watery body, simple and highly drinkable - word I am using not to say characterless. Volume beer, not bad but well, just not that interesting, had much better stuff from this brewery before.
