COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lucky Bucket Pre‐Prohibition Lager has an updated craft brewer’s twist as its signature: it’s dry‐hopped with a fresh blend of aromatic hops. The dry hopping schedule is a unique hop mix that was derived from numerous tests and private samplings. The resulting blend includes aromatic Cascade, Centennial and Amarillo hops.

Pours golden with white head, aroma is lemon and biscuit. Taste is lemony up front with a bit of other citrus, taste is biscuit and bread with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Pretty good lager!

12oz bottle -

Aroma - very hard to pick-up any major aromas. Light malty grain, a little sulfur and a touch of apple juice.

Appearance - solid gold body, clear with sporadic bubbles coming up from the bottle. Head starts out about 3/4" thick, disipates to just a splatch of nothing really.

Taste - flavor is really clean, not much to hang your hat on. Kinda minerally tasting, light grass and a touch of sweet malt

Palate - light bodied, light carbonation...has a seltzer water kinda feel to it

Overall - a really nice standard lager. Not sure where the "pre-prohibition" claim/name comes in to play. No noticeable flaws, easy to drink. Big thanks to pfoxyjohn for sending me this one!

12 oz. bottle from grownfool- thanks again, Brian! Pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a pretty small white head. Aroma of sweet malts, citrusy hops, biscuits, crackers, cereal, and sugar. Flavor of minerals, pale malts, straw, paper, and saltines. Light-bodied, with high carbonation and a crisp, mineral mouthfeel. Dry finish. Promising in the nose but there just isn’t much flavor here.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2011 Amber color with a beige head. A malty caramel aroma. Flavor is malty with some caramel notes. I’m into comparing beers tonight so this is Yuengling like. Overall this is a pretty good beer for a session lager.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma has some sour fruits, corny notes, some slightly citric hops notes and a decent malt character, a bit bready, with some graininess. Flavor has some sourness, light malty sweetness, citric notes and some mild bitterness. Light-medium-bodied. Sourness seems out of place, but it’s still aמ OK drinkable Lager.

Bottle. Deep golden color. Flavor is of good balance leaning to the malt side. Aroma is the usual lager aroma but a tad more pleasant. This is actually a better tasting the normal lager.

Tap @ Lucky Bucket. Pours a clear orangish brown appearance with a thin brown head. Caramel, sweet malty, a bit chewy, burnt bready aroma. A bit grainy, cardboard (not in an oxidized manner), caramel flavor. Kind of strange but ok.

Pours a deep gold with a small white head (very much like Cream Soda). Aroma is lightly malty with a hint of citrus. Fizzy and light bodied, finished lightly bitter-sweet yet clean. Taste is lightly bitter sweet, crisp. Overall, unimposing and light. A pleasant lager but left me wanting more.

Passable lager gotten in trade. Some malty aroma, some white head on light golden colour. A tad light mouthfeel, easy drinking. Pure example of style.
