3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle purchased at the brewery, poured into a pint glass at home. Copper and clear appearanace with a frothy tan head. Aroma is a blend of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, potpourri, clove, etc. Similar flavor, spiced and malty with notes of Belgian yeast and fruit (pear, apple). Medium body, soft and creamy with ample carbonation. There’s a lot going on, but it comes together and works pretty well.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A- Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, spices.
A- Dark copper color, clear liquid, white head.
T- Cinnamon, nutmeg, spices.
P- Medium body, average texture, medium carbonation, abrupt finish.
O- The bottle calls it an Abbey Ale but this is more like a Winter Warmer to me. Whatever, it’s still good. Packed with lots of cinnamon and spices. I was hoping for a longer finish but it disappeared quite fast. Lucky Bucket did alright here.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a bottle with a copper color, tons of flavor with almost a hint of sour berry taste, found it very easy to drink and memorable flavor, will buy again!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint on tap. Clear, shiny new copper color with a lasting film of cream. Mild nose of cinnamon and spicy toffee. Taste is spicy banana, bubblegum, light sour berry, wheat, and earthy spice mix. Near-medium body is well balanced and drinks pretty smooth with an average carbonation level. Pleasantly surprised that this one doesn’t overdo the spices and actually shows a bit of Belgian character.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Captain Jacks. Pours a stunning amber color, great clarity, and a finger of creamy tan head. Not much head retention or lacing, but overall an attractive pour. The nose is spicy; cinnamon and cloves. A little of the Belgian yeast comes through. Warming and inviting. Soft mouthfeel and subdued in the flavor at first. Probably a little too cold at first… a little rest at room temperature opens up the fruitiness and spices. Finishes well, but does linger on the sweet side. Reminds me of spruce and juniper berries. Not too much emphasis on the spice or yeast. Probably good for those who like a more mellow approach to the style. I find the body to be a bit thin, it gets a little sweet in the tail, and overall would consider this to be a pretty mediocre brew. The great debate would be what style this fits into…

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear dark amber pour with light off-white head. Aroma is typical of an abbey - banana, clove and other spices. Taste builds on the banana clove theme with a hint of cinnamon and other spices along with a slight raisiny flavory. Perhaps just a touch too sweet and carbonated for my palate, but an interesting brew.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not very impressive or tasty. Does what it says it is going to do. Spices, Belgian yeast, everything on the label. It's just not my bag I guess.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep copper color with a big loose white head and not much in the way of lacing on the glass.
The aroma is spicy and a little bug-spray-y. The general character is like an overload of cooking spice. Really not the sort of thing that makes me want to take a drink, but then.. it is beer.... so a drink is not a tough sale.
The spices in the flavor are present, but far far more subdued than they way they attack the aroma of the beer. The cinnamon seems mildly odd, but everything else blends well with this nicely fruity ale with light roasty/nutty notes.... perhaps like some sort of toasted nut? Perhaps. The beer is not nearly as sweet in flavor as it comes across as in the aroma, in fact the beer is fairly dry.
This is one of those that’s just too shy of brilliance to be great, but with minor tweaks could be wonderful.
As a side note, this is totally a "Belgian Ale" sure a spice-heavy one but it’s more of an Abby ale than an ale created to feature spices.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours dark amber. White head. Nose of some spice, perhaps nutmeg. Aroma of nutmeg, watery. That is the only way to describe it. Heavy nutmeg, and a weak, watery finish, some sour taste.
