2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted on draft at the 2012 East Nashville Beer Festival. Pours a dark cola color with a ruby tinge, and a thin beige head that leaves thin lace. The nose is malty caramel with just a light touch of bitterness. The flavor is pretty much malty caramel, but a bit light for being a Scotch Ale, with the same very light touch of bitterness. The body is fairly light with average carbonation and a short caramel malt finish.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This really shined in the color, thick dark ruby, like most scotch ales. Palate was also thick and malty, but flavor was much more subtle, like a mild more than a scotch ale. I had hoped to find more in this beer. Sampled at the second annual East Nashville Beer Festival.
