Draught at pub. Poured thick and black with thin tan head. Much lacing. Aroma of coffee in the morning, malt. Flavour of roast malt, black coffee, unsweetened chocolate and nuts. Lasting coffee finish. Sip this and order another one.

A thick, roasty, robust and quite drinkable ale. Very flavorful, chocolate, dried fruits, caramel and a light nutty quality. It could be a bit thicker and less sweet, but it is still quite creamy due to the nitro tap.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with some hints of coffee and licorice. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Not a big stout drinker, partly due to my hop addiction, but loved this one. aroma of licorice, roast malt, prune and pine. opaque darkest brown with thin tan head. flavor of roasted malt combines well with the hop edge (still advantage tot he roast, notes of coffee and molasses. seamles int he mouth, easy drinking.

Poured an opaque black color with a small, tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, smokey, charred wood, cocoa, light raisin, and a bit of fig. Taste of roasted malts, smoke, vanilla beans, light chocolate, and a dry, bitter finish.

22oz bottle shared thanks to Josh. Poured a dark brown color wtih a small sized off white head. Aromas of some roastiness, chocolate, dark fruits, and nutty. Tastes of chocolate, lighter roast, caramel, and coffee. Body on the thinner side.

Thanks to Josh for sharing this one. Pours a deep brown with lots of ruby/amber notes and a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of dark fruits, cardboard, nuts, lightly roasted/toasty malt and a touch of vanilla. Flavor of roasted malt, light coffee, vanilla, caramel, toffee and nuts.

Cask. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty and quite roasted with lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish.

On tap at LL in Portland--Dark black-brown body with a fluffy off-white head. Roasted, coffee nose. Creamy, a little spicy from the hops like most LL beers. Chocolaty, liquorish, toffee yumminess.
